Derek's P.O.V.
Damn it, Spencer. I think, running to 7th period. We've been going out for a couple of weeks and this girl has already got me hooked. I barely noticed the seven minutes pass by as I walked her to Chemistry.
Ding. Ding. Ding.
"Ahhh," I hiss, running faster. I moved to the varsity football class and been late almost every day since. I shove the locker room door open just in time for the last ding.
"Good you're on time for once." A senior, Jordan, say.
“I was gonna have to kill you if we had to sprint extra laps because of you, again." Adds my buddy, Cameron.
“Yeah sorry about that." I laugh, putting in my locker combo.
"Speaking of sorry, Sammy refuses to do anything with me 'til I apologize for not asking her to dance correctly." Jordan groans, with an ugly expression on his face. "Like really, what the hell."
I laugh to myself and tune them out. A couple more guys stroll in but my head is elsewhere.
Spencer's waist felt so tiny as I wrapped my arms around her body. She giggles as I slowly slide my hands down her back and push up against her as we lean against my car.
"Let me take you home." I plea, knowing good and well we'd be taking a detour if I did. Her lips, not even an inch from mine, teased me as they moved.
"No I can't...” she starts hesitating, then sadly smiles,” I promised Meghan I'd help her pick out a dress."
I sigh, grudgingly, “Girls and their clothes."
She laughs, sarcastically. I groan, leaning in for a kiss. I can taste her lips before they touch, -
"Hey Derek!" Someone says,
"Huh?" I ask confused.
"Let's go!" Cameron calls from the locker room door, looking annoyed.
I look down. I'm dressed in my pads, somehow I managed to put them on while I zoned out. I blink looking up again realizing the locker room was empty. I snatch my practice jersey from the bench and head for the field.

We still had to do horses. The coach caught me and Cameron jogging out of the locker room and he doubled our work out. The defensive line was not happy.
I walked in the locker room exhausted and soaked. I'm about to grab a towel and hop in the shower when Cameron, Jordan and a couple other guys walked in.
"Derek, you going to Micken's party on the 12th." Cameron asked
"Isn't that homecoming, nah, I'm going to the dance." I say.
