The boys were walking around town, heading back to their hotel after a long day of seeing sights. Michael heard this boy whispering and he turned his head, seeing a boy with dyed red hair exactly like Michael's and he had on a 5sos tshirt, the pale boy walked over to the shorter boy and chuckled as he saw his eyes widen. "I like your hair." Michael smiled and the boy cupped his hand over his mouth, "Th-thanks." He stammered out and Michael chuckled, "I love you." The boy blurted out and Michael awed at him, "What's your name?" Michael smiled as he gently hugged the boy and the fan quickly wrapped his arms around Michael's waist. "Jackie." The boy smiled, "That's a beautiful name for a beautiful boy." Michael smiled and he chuckled as Jackie squealed a little, Michael kissed the boy's cheek as he heard a camera click and Jackie gasped a bit, making the pale boy smile. "Mikey, we gotta go." Calum mumbled as he walked over to them, "Fiiiiiiiiine." Michael whined as he let go of Jackie, kissing his cheek once more before walking away with his bandmates. They were about to cross the street and Michael saw a blur of red hair rush past him, knowing it was Jackie who rushed out into the street and his eyes widened as he saw the black SUV speeding towards him. "JACKIE!" Michael shouted as he ran towards the boy, pushing him away just in time, but suffering from the impact himself. Michael went flying up the windshield as he collided with the car and he slid right off, the van not stopping and running over him once more. "FUCK MICHAEL!" Ashton gasped as he rushed over to his bandmate, all the cars stopping and people starting to crowd around them, Jackie standing next to Ashton with his hands over his mouth and tears spilling down his cheeks as he stared at Michael's wrecked body. Michael's left arm was obviously broken, a large gash on his head spilling blood all over his face, his body covered in bruises and scratches, and his shirt was stained with blood. Jackie called 911 before anyone could speak, bending down next to Michael and explaining to the paramedics what happened, trying not to sob as he spoke. The paramedics came and got Michael onto a gurney, rushing him away. "I'm so so so fucking sorry." Jackie choked out, the boys having let him come along with them since he was in hysterics. "Hey, it's okay." Luke cooed, "If I was paying attention, this wouldn't have happened." He sniffled. "Michael did this to save you okay? Michael chose to do this and he wanted to make sure you were safe, don't feel bad buddy." Calum cooed as he wiped Jackie's tears and they pulled up to the hospital, all of them rushing inside and having to wait for Michael to get out of surgery. After 5 long hours, a nurse walked up to them and Jackie looked up at her with sad bloodshot eyes, "Michael has broken his left hand and right ankle, received many stitches all over his body, a large gash was in his head that we stitched up, and he has broken a few ribs from the impact. He'll be okay, it'll just take some time." She explained and Jackie bit back a sob, "Can we see him?" Luke asked and she nodded, going down a hallway and taking them into a room, Jackie letting out a sob as he saw Michael, who was barely conscious. "Jackie, come here." Michael whispered as he waved Jackie over and a nurse helped the injured boy sit up, "Don't blame yourself okay?" He cooed, "B-but, if I was paying attention-" Jackie began and Michael stopped him, "It's better me than you and that's all that matters okay?" Michael smiled and he held Jackie's hand in his good one. "Where's that smile I saw earlier?" Michael asked and Jackie looked at the floor, "C'moooooooon." Michael giggled and Jackie smiled, "There it is." The pale boy beamed and everyone smiled, happy that Michael was gonna be okay.
