Getting to know each other

It was 8:00 AM I couldn't sleep, I was too excited to see Splash again and get to know her better... I mean if I find her again like yesterday, hopefully, I do. Was I dreaming? maybe I was there's no way an Orca could understand me and answer me, right? well, one way to find out. As I made my way down my mom Camille is setting breakfast on the kitchen table and my little brother Kevin sitting in his little high chair.

"Morning little bro!"

"Hi, Lua," He said excited

Lua is my nickname my mom came up with it when one night we were looking up at the stars...

"Mom we're best friends right?" I questioned out of nowhere still looking up at the stars

"That's right sweetie" she exclaimed

"Well best friends have nicknames what are ours?" I asked her

"well... I have an idea, you make up my nickname and I'll make yours okay?" she said

"OKAY!" I said excitingly

we were thinking for a while and still looking up at the sky full of stars, we both gasped and looked at each other

"you go first," my mom said

" okay I, got you... ready?... Cam Cam, get it Camille" I said excitedly

" Hahaha I do I do I like it, okay ready for yours?" she asked. I nod fast I even get a little light headed

"Lua" she finally said. I looked at her straight at her face blankly and then a big smile comes across my face I jumped up and hugged her. That same night was the big news that I was going to have a little brother or sister I got, even more, excited....

Yeah, that night was pretty exciting. We were all finished with breakfast I helped mom with dishes when I finished I quickly start running out towards the beach.

"bye mom love ya" I yelled as i headed out.

" bye sweetie love you don't be late to school" She yelled back.

"I won't" after all she is my teacher. Yeah, i'm homeschooled why I don't know my mom's choice. I like it my classes start at 5:30 PM. I ran as fast as I could to the harbor. I reached the edge of the wooden harbor breathing heavily looking around hoping I would see long dorsal fins coming out of the water. So I sit down and waited patiently. As I waited I looked into the horizon I breathe in breathe out relaxing a little. In a while I heard the whales blowing from their blowholes in need of air, I looked up excitedly and called out "Splash" I started splashing the water.

"Splash, I'm here girl comes over... please," I said the last part in a whisper. There was no way what happened yesterday was true. I slowly got up and started walking away.

"Hey, you are very impatient I said I was coming" I heard somebody said behind me.

"so you are true I wasn't dreaming?" I asked shocked.

"no why would you think that? I and my family talk to each other all the time and we understand all of you two legs too" Splash said

"what did you just say? Two legs?and normally we don't understand animals when they talk to each other" I asked

" Really? wait...your species have a different name? " she said a little embarrassed

"yeah, we're called humans," I said making it clear to her

"Ohh what you humans call us then?" She asked me excited

"Orcas," I said

"Ooh yeah we're know like that at home" she explained.

all of a sudden I see another head pop out of the water.

"Splash what are you doing talking to a two leg? Dad said they're dangerous that's why we avoid them..." the other whale said

"Don't worry Friday I know what I'm doing besides I have a special connection with this one" She explained to what seems to be a family member.

"Luana this is my twin brother Friday, I'm older by like a few minutes, Friday she's Luana my new friend" She introduced us

"hi Friday nice to meet you, you can call me Lua if you want, " I said as I slowly laid on the edge of the harbor.

"h-hi." he said nervously

"how old are you guys?" I asked a bit curious

"we are 9 years old," Splash said

"Really me too!" I said excitedly.

"do you wanna go for a swim?" Splash asked

"Splash no we're gonna get in trouble," Friday said nudging her

"Oh don't worry I know what I'm doing, so what ya say?" She asked. I would love to but my swimming isn't that good yet.

"I'm scared my swimming is not that good," I said embarrassed

"No problem, you can hold on to my dorsal fin." she said

"really? whoa thanks that be awesome" I said as i dove into the water with Splash going behind me. She lifts me up to the surface and i grabbed on tightly to her dorsal fin. I took a deep breath as she dove. I closed my eyes for a while and then opened them slowly to get them used to the salty ocean water, what's in front of me was spectacular. A beautiful coral reef filled with different types of fishes. Splash stops in front of a tall coral that had two starfishes on it i touched one and the texture of their body it's soft and rough at the same time such an amazing feeling. Splash took me up again and we both took a big breath once up, Friday next to us.

"Hey Lua you wanna see something cooler?" Friday said getting out of his shell and speaking more.

"sure," I said as I switch. He dove and took me to this big school of fish that were swimming in the circle, The 3 of us when inside the fishes. I slowly let go off Friday's dorsal fin as I see the 2 of them holding were holding flippers they extend their flippers towards me and I hold on to both as we start to do circles smiling. When we needed air we went up.

"wow, that was amazing!" I exclaimed

"told ya," Splash said as we all laughed

"Splash, Friday... What's the meaning of this?" I heard a deep voice behind me startled I turned around...
