BELLAMY

"Hey Octavia?" I called out from in the kitchen.

"Yeah what's up Bell?" She questioned.

"Can you go see who's at the door I think I heard someone knocking."

"Yeah sure, just one sec."

I was currently in the middle of preparing dessert for O after a large dinner. She wanted me to cook my 'famous' apple pie that I always made for her while mom was out at work. My mom is dead now so the pie relaxes O and reminds her of mom in a good way. I was putting it in the oven when I heard chattering at the door. I could hear O's voice and then I heard another girls voice.

I closed up the oven and I was about to check out who it was when a familiar blonde walked into me.

"Oh uh sorry." She seemed flustered.

"No worries it's ok. So what brings you here?"

"My mom is drinking again and I don't want to be around for her to yell at me and tell me how much I remind her of her dead husband." Clarke sat down at the kitchen table and put her head down.

"Oh, that sucks." I sat down in the chair next to her, "want some pie?" I smiled at her.

"You make pie?" She laughed like she couldn't believe it.

"Yes in fact I do. It was my moms recipe and O loves them." I tried not to seem offended.

"Well then I'll guess I'll have some." She giggled and her mood lightened a little.

"Let's go watch a movie with O in the living room. That way we can eat the pie when the movie finishes."

"Sounds good to me. Just not a scary movie." She went into the living room first and sat down. O was of course sitting on the single-seater couch on purpose, which left the double-seater to me and Clarke.

I tried to seem natural about it as I sat down beside her.

"Hey O, pass me the remote." She threw me the remote from across the room. I turned on Netflix and went to the horror section.

"Hey I thought I said nothing scary!" Clarke said as she playfully punched me in the arm.

"You're such a baby, horror movies aren't that scary. I'll even pick it."

"Well then it will definitely be scary." Clarke shoved her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs.

After looking through the small selection of movies I chose 'The Conjuring'. (Classic I know).

"Isn't this one really scary?" Clarke asked stuttering, as the movie started.

"It's not like you're watching it alone."

"Whatever." She took a pillow and placed on her knees. She put her head down and stared at the screen intently.

***

About 20 minutes into the movie Clarke had already shoved her head into the pillow 7 times and she had screamed twice.

A really scary part was coming up so I prepared myself for Clarke scream, but she didn't. Instead she jolted herself closer to me and dug her head into my shoulder. I could feel her quick small breaths and I could feel her chest rising and falling as she breathed.

"Cozying up to me already Clarke? The movies not even over yet." I grinned as she lifted her head up from my neck. She furrowed her eyebrows and punched me in the arm. She scooted away from me and crossed her arms over her chest, all while pouting her lips.
