A/N: This set after the season four finale but before the time jump. *spoilers ahead* I apologize ahead of time for this piece of crap...
Day 1
"Bellamy? Raven? Anyone? Can you hear me?" There was a cold, hard silence on the other end of the radio.
"It's Clarke, and I'm alive."
Day 3
The nightblood that ran through Clarke's bloodline had saved her from Praimfaya. The bubbles that were on her skin were starting to dissapear and she was finally able to move and walk around without pain.
"The nightblood solution worked." Clarke paused for a moment because Bellamy was right. His hope was put in the right spot. God she misses him so much. She didn't even know if he was getting these messages. "You were right Bellamy."
Day 9
She had cleaned up Becca's lab a little bit. She wasn't as smart as Raven, but she managed to start a small garden, and use the fresh water converter that was in the lab. It was weird to her. Not having to worry about anyone coming after her to try and kill her.
But it also felt incredibly boring.
"It's been just over a week now," she took a deep breath as she continued, trying to hold back her tears, "it's so quiet here. I wish I could hear your voice."
Day 26
Clarke sat against the outside wall with the radio next to her, and a book in her hands. She was sketching someone who she hadn't seen in awhile. His freckles were fun to draw, but his hair was difficult. After she had finished it, she wasnt even sure it looked like him. Clarke started to cry because dammit she was beginning to forget what he looked like.
"I can't seem to get your face right Bell," she cursed under her breath and looked up at the sky. She wondered if he was looking down at the earth as she was looking at the sky, "I don't want to forget. I won't forget."
Day 100
Clarke shoots up with wide eyes and frantically looks around her room. The nightmares have become more frequent and she can't shake them from her system.
They are usually about Bellamy. Once in awhile they're about someone else, but they're usually about him. She can see his face. Oh how badly she wanted to reach out and touch him. And she can see his lips moving, like he's talking, but she can never hear him. And it's in that moment, that Clarke realizes...
She's forgotten what Bellamy sounds like.
Day 365
Clarke feels like throwing a chair into something made of glass, or destroying something valuble. She wants to break down and cry but she just can't. She wants to give up and end her pain, but she just can't. Talking to him everyday is the only thing that keeps her going. The only thing that keeps her centered.
And so she pulls out the radio and turns it on. "Today marks one year since you left. One year since I last saw your face, or seen you smile. It's been a year since I almost told you that I loved you. I should've told you but I was holding back for some reason. I promise to never hold back ever again."
Day 673
"I found a child. I found a fucking child Bellamy. Her name is Madi and she's a nightblood, like me. And before you start worrying about her, she's okay. I'm gonna take care of her from now on." Clarke looks over at the little girl sleeping beside her. She smiles and gently carresses the side of her face.
"Just like you took care of me."
Day 1367
"Hi Bellamy! It's Madi. I don't know if you remember me from last time mom let me talk to you, but I hope you do. She tells me about you all the time. She tells me all these wonderful stories about how you guys saved the human race, and how you taught her how to use a gun. I can tell that she misses you. She talks about you returning to me all the time. I hope you can live up to her words."
Day 1725
"Only about a hundred more days till you guys return." She looks up at the starry night sky to try and spot a little orb, moving swiftly across the night sky. "Kind of funny how I'm the grounder now and you guys are the prisoners of space coming down to earth."
Clarke felt a tear escape her eye. She hadn't cried in awhile...partly because she hadn't allowed herself too. Madi looked at her strange when she looked up at the sky and cried, but she knew who Clarke was looking for.
"A hundred more days and I get to see you. A hundred more days and what I've forgotten will be remebered."
Day 1825
"Today's the day. I'll be waiting."
She sat outside the entire day, watching the pale yellow sky for any sign of her friends. For Bellamy. She watched the sky until her eyes started to hurt and she got cramps in her neck.
They didn't come back.
She cried.
Day 2199
"Bellamy, if you're hearing this right now, you're alive. I don't know why I still do this everyday. Maybe it's to remind myself of who I am. Who I was. It's been over a year since you were supposed to come down. Why haven't you?"
Clarke puts the radio down and puts her hands on her forehad. Maybe it was time for her to stop trying. Time for her to let go of him.
But her thought is soon fractured when she hears the loud boom of a rocket re-entering earth's atmospshere. She turns around and runs to the rover, shaking Madi awake.
"He's back?" She asks. Clarke nods while smiling the biggest smile she could've ever imagined.
They stand in the valley as they watch it land on top of the green grass. A loud burst of air signals the doors opening.
Clarke suddenly can't breath, but her chest seems to be moving at the speed of sound. Her heart is beating faster than it ever has before and for the first time since he left, Clarke felt like she was whole.
Her eyes scanned frantically as the door slowly opened. Smoke came out of the pod and it took a moment for it to clear. Clarke waved her hand in front of her face so that she could see and as she did so, she heard a low grunt followed by footsteps.
"I got your messages." He said. Tears rolled down her cheeks at an embarassing pace and all it took were those words to get her on her feet, running towards him.
She jumped into his arms and wrapped her arms so tightly around him that she could've broken his bones.
"Never leave me ever again." She muttered in a happy vice that was masked with tears. His grip on her tightened as she spoke. Tears also rolled down his face because damn, this girl got to him.
"Not planning on it princess."
A/N: It's quite embarassing how many times i legit cried while writing this. Like not even kidding I cried like a good eight times. Hope you guys enjoyed as well. (This is also very clearly unedited, so I apologize for any spelling mistakes) Vote, comment, and share!
