Taylor
"Why the fuck were you making so much noise up there?" I ask Ethan, having the urge to cough.
"I just- Saw a cockroach..." He pauses, "expect me not to kill it?"
I finally coughed, coming out as if Darth Vader had done it.
"Sounded like a demon escaped your soul..." Riley joked, and Ethan laughed. "You ok, man? That didn't sound right..." Zion asked, putting his hand on my forehead. "Damn, you're hot... We need to get back to Havana, before you get worse."
"I'm fine." I cleared my throat, a small raspy cough escaping my lips. "No, you're not. You're getting paler as we stand here, let's go, now." Zion said firmly, and he guided me outside, into the van.
Everyone followed behind into the van, and we went back to Havana.
-
I had this weird lightheaded feeling and I felt extremely tired... On the way back, as I watched the trees turn to a blur, I fell asleep.
Ethan
I heard a loud thud in the van, and stopped looking out the tiny window.
I saw Taylor on the floor, and my eyes went wide. I saw Grayson looking the same way, and he nodded his head in Zion's direction.
'Tell him to stop the car.' He mouthed to me, and I nodded, thinking the same thing.
"Zion." I called out, and he met my gaze in the rear view mirror. "Taylor is either unconscious, or asleep..."
He quickly stopped the car, and looked back.
"C'mon fix him up so we can get him home safely." Zion tells us, and Grayson slowly lifts him up, resting him up against him carefully.
"Let's go, I got it." Grayson tells Zion, and he starts the car back up.
The engine sputters and he tries again, the engine sputtering once more.
"Well. We're walking guys." Riley sighed, and I looked at her wide-eyed. "How? You know how much Taylor weighs, man..."
"Havana is 9 miles away, at the least, and we can't stay here - we all know that. We need to keep moving before it gets dark." Riley tells us, then Zion and Riley get out the car, leaving me and Grayson to take Taylor.
"I'll get out first to open the door, and you drag out Taylor's body. We'll both carry him." I tell Gray, and he sighs.

2 & 1/2 Months Later...
I carved an arrow into a tree, leaving a reminder of the direction I was heading in.
Once I found it, I secured my bag and I climbed up, resting on the strongest and thickest branch.
I carefully take off my bag, and place it in my lap, looping my arm through one of its straps.
I scanned the area and saw a couple walkers stumbling by, past the trees ahead of me.
I aim my rifle to one of their heads, and shoot; going from one walker, to the other. No echo was heard due to the silencer I nearly got killed for...
'If you want this to be over, you gotta get rid of them.' Basic logic.
I laid my rifle in my lap, rubbing my fingers over in its smudged cracks. I continue to do so, transfixed by the form of it... I finally stop once my fingertips are coated in dirt, and blink repeatedly, snapping myself out of the trance.
