"Sang! Get here in!" I heard Luke yell from the kitchen. I got out of bed and walked toward him, what is wrong now?

"What?" I asked when I could see him.

"We need to make our Valentine Day cards." He said dumping glitter and craft supplies all over the table.

"You make cards?" I ask getting closer to all the supplies.

"Yeah, we make cards for the kids at the hospital. Also some for the elderly people there and at one of the retirement homes we visit every once in a while." Luke said separating the glitter, paper and stickers.

"I haven't made these since elementary school when everyone had to." I said sitting down and pulling some paper toward me.

"Are you telling me you haven't had any cards since elementary school?" He asked taken a back.

"Yes, why would you continue past then?" I ask confused. I know that friends exchanged them but I didn't ever really have that close of friends. There was also always the choir that went around singing and delivering roses and the candy grams that you got in home room from people who bought them for you. I just had never received any or had the money to send them.

"Sang, you are going to get showered in cards this year then." He said matter of fact.

"Oh, no! You guys don't need to! I'm fine really." I said hoping that they wouldn't do anything too crazy.

Just then Gabe walked in, his arms full of even more supplies. He dropped it all on the table and my mouth fell open at the same time. He had even more paper, and markers and a lot of glitter.

"How many are we making?" I ask looking at all the stuff we have.

"As many as possible." Luke said.

"The others will be in throughout the day, but we will be able to work all day on these." Gabe said moving his stuff to the piles that Luke set out.

"What do I write in them?" I asked feeling a little out of place. I thought you had to know the person you were giving it to so with knowing none of these people it just felt weird.

"Just a nice message, we will put candy on each one too." Gabe said starting to cut some hearts out of the papers.

"That sounds easy enough." I said. A nice message, I could do that.

I started my first one folding it in half and cutting it to look like a heart, then I found some stickers and glitter to add. I spent a good twenty minutes making it look perfect and when I looked up Gabe and Luke had already made a nice little pile of cards next to them.

"I'm going to slow, aren't I?" I asked looking at my one card.

"You're fine, but try cutting a few at a time. Then you at least have a few started." Luke said adding yet another one to his pile.

"Okay." I said and pulled more paper toward me.

Halfway through cutting a few cards at once I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I ignored it until I was done cutting, I didn't want to mess up so many cards at once. When I did look up I saw North looking at the card I made next to me.

"Hello, come to make a card?" I asked.

"I can help cut them into hearts while you decorate." North said pulling the scissors from my hand.
