Lunch came around and let me tell you, today has been... different. Emmett didn't walk me to every class but I could tell he was watching me. He would 'coincidently' be near me all the time. Yeah, that's not creepy at all.

I kept on getting glares from every other girl when I walked in the hallways or sometimes in class. Most girls would yell things out at me such as "How much did it cost?" and "Slut" and from guys, well, they would mainly wink at me in hallways and give me high fives. Weird.

I walked into the cafeteria. Oh my god. The kid that usually gets here earlier than me isn't here today! I instantly smiled. I almost jumped up in the air from excitement. I walked into the lunch line smiling. Today I decided to get pizza once again, just to celebrate.

I sat down in my usual table as people began to enter the cafeteria still. I was halfway through eating my pizza when my table was approached. It was of course Emmett Taylor.

"What is it?" I asked as I was chewing my pizza. He smiled. "Come sit with us." He said pointing towards his table. His best friend Landon made eye contact with me in which he soon after turned back to the blonde that was on his lap.

"No thanks." I said. "Why not?" He asked. "Because, I like this spot. Besides, I wouldn't feel comfortable over there." I said awkwardly smiling. "Okay." Was all he said. He walked back to his table. I smiled to myself as I took another bite of my pizza.

A tray and a lunch bag were placed on my table. I looked up. I looked up at the owner of the tray since it was right next to me. It was Emmett. He sat down as he smiled at me. I once again smiled awkwardly at him. I looked up at the owner of the brown paper lunch bag, it belonged to Landon. Landon smith to be specific. He also brought his blonde of the day. Cool beans.

I mean I would prefer for them not to sit with me because I actually like sitting alone but at the same time I don't mind it. A little company never hurt anyone, I guess. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude about this situation if you didn't notice.

I smiled at Landon. He awkwardly smiled back. Alright. I continued to eat my pizza. Once I finished I turned towards Emmett. "Why did you sit with me today?" I asked. "I wanted to sit with you." He said smiling. "How come?" I asked. "Because, I enjoy talking to you." He said. I nodded. That response was unexpected.

I got my book out and began to read the page I was on. Hazel Grace and Augustus were at the Anne Frank museum. I love this part. I was so into the book that I didn't notice Emmett and Landon were having a discussion. I decided to tune in.

"I just don't understand why we have to come sit with her, look at her. She's reading her book, you guys aren't even talking." Landon said. Emmett glared at him. "Hey, I let you bring your girl of the day to our table everyday and don't complain, right?" Emmett said. Landon looked at me. "Okay, fine. Just know, I won't like sitting here." Landon said before turning back to his blonde.

Emmett took a deep breath and began eating his burger. I then turned back to my book. That was intense. I feel bad for Emmett. I don't know why, but I do.

I looked at Emmett. He was already looking at me while he was chewing his burger. I laughed. He had some mayo on his chin near his mouth. "You have something right here." I said signaling to his chin.

He was reaching to wipe it but I beat him to it. It bothers me when people have some sort of food on their face. I wiped it off his chin and wiped my thumb on my napkin. I smiled at him and he smiled back. He swallowed his food. "Thank you." He said. "No problem." I said.

I turned back to my book. From the corner of my eye I could see him glance at me every once in a while.

Emmett got up from his chair. "I'm going to go get some ketchup for my fries. I'll be back." He said. I nodded. Landon turned towards me. He looked at me for a bit. I was getting ready to turn back to my book because it was getting bit awkward when he said "He really likes you, you know?" "What?" I asked confused. "Emmett, he likes you. A lot." He said. Come again. Emmett Taylor likes me? He must be joking.

"He hasn't stopped talking about you. You're the only girl he has talked about or even liked in a while. A long while." I was speechless. There is no way. Where are the cameras. You got me guys. Am I on Punk'd?

"You don't believe me." He said smiling. "I wish I did. Emmett Taylor would never like a girl like me. Look at him." I said pointing towards him by the condiments table on the other side of the cafeteria. "He's way out of my league." I said.

"He's not. He does like you a lot though. He never shuts up about how beautiful you are. blah, blah, blah." He said.

Emmett had already made it back to the table so we decided to end the conversation there. Emmett Taylor likes me? Why is it so hard to believe? I am so boring. Emmett looks like he would like a girl who is wild. One who isn't afraid to step out of her comfort zone. A girl who is more outgoing and actually has friends. One who looks like a supermodel!

Now that he's back I'm feeling a bit awkward. He's The Emmett Taylor, the hot bad boy at our school. The boy girls throw themselves at.

I mean I've never known of anyone liking me since like middle school. I wasn't even that good looking back then, or now. I guess I've never been that good looking. Wow. My life.

Not edited! Sorry this chapter was short! I'll try to update tomorrow if I don't have homework.
