Stefan and I made it official. We... are together. I feel bad. I feel as if I am dating too many people in a small amount of time. Stefan insists that it's okay, that Damon hurt me, and Klaus was when I had my humanity off and he cares about me. I gotta say, I'm pretty glad he said, 'I care about you' instead of 'I love you' because I can't stand it when people say I love you the first day of starting a relationship.

Stefan insisted on driving around for the rest of the day instead of going back to the house and having to deal with drama. He also insisted on driving too, so I could take a nap. We turn on the radio at a low volume as a bunch of unknown songs pass. I feel Stefan's hand on my thigh as I slowly drift to sleep.

Damon's POV

I sit on the couch and drink my feelings away. It's my fault Brittany is gone. She loved me and I ruined it. The first time a girl I like, liked me over Stefan and I blew it. I mean, I guess I just can't get my feelings in tact. I like Elena, I liked Katherine, and now ... Brittany. I finish one bottle of bourbon after another. I sit up and smile as I see Elena. "Damon, really?" She says scoffing. "You can't keep playing Brit like this, either pick Katherine or pick her, you can't have both. It's your fault we can't find her or Stefan, you had to make it official with her, and then sleep with Katherine the next day. That's low, even for you." She says turning to go back up the stairs. I vamp speed in front of her and place my hand on her cheek. "I want you." I whisper and she slaps my hand. "No Damon. I'm not going to hurt Brittany more than she already is."

Brittany's POV

I wake up to just me in the car and the engine running to keep me warm. We're at a gas station, and I'm pretty sure Stefan is getting food.. I hope he has some blood because I'm starving. A few minutes later, Stefan walks out of the gas station. He smiles as he sees I'm awake. "Please tell me you have some blood. I'm starving." I groan and he chuckles as he pulls a blood bag out of his coat pocket. I thank him and chug down the blood. A.B. positive, my favorite.

Stefan and I spend the whole day together. He surprises me with a huge carnival date and I couldn't be happier. As we make it to the carnival, I squeal in excitement. I haven't been to a carnival in years. The last time being when I was about 7 years old. We both get out of my car and walk to wait in line for the rides and food and games. I look over to Stefan and smile. "Thank you for all of this." I say looking up to him. He nods and kisses my cheek. "No problem Brittany." He replies as his fingers lace with mine. I'm glad he still accepted me after me being such a bitch to him.. he didn't deserve it.. and  I should've seen earlier that he cares about me more than Damon ever could.

As we get into the carnival after paying for our tickets, we make our way to the rides. "Can we go on the rollercoasters?" I say smiling and Stefan laughs at how childish I'm acting. "Whatever you wanna do, I wanna do." He grins and I hug him.

As the night ends, we make our way to the ferris wheel. As we get on, and slowly get to the top, Stefan holds my hand. "Thank you for today." I say looking at him and kissing his cheek. "Anything for you Brit." He replies as he leans down to kiss me. Our lips connect and fireworks go off above us. I pull away and smile up at the sky. "It's so beautiful." I say quietly. "It sure is..." I hear Stefan say and I look back to his face as I see him gazing at me. I blush as I lay on his shoulder and the ride ends.
