Chapter 4

{The Next Day}

I spent the night at Damon and Stefan's house cause Elena, Bonnie and Caroline told me to and they were staying too. I roll over on my bed and lay on my pillow I try to snuggle into my pillow more but it's to rough. "Good-morning sunshine." I hear someone say. I sit up and see Damon. "What?" I say groggily laying back down onto his chest. "It's time to get up." He says. I groan. "No, it's time to go to sleep." He sighs. "I guess no breakfast for you." I shoot up off his chest. "Breakfast?!" I run downstairs to find Stefan at the table eating pancakes. "Hello Stefan." I say happily. "Hello Brittany." He says back just as happily. I get up to find a plate. "Where's the plates?" He gets up. "I'll get you the food." He says going to the counter. "Thanks." I say. We hear someone coming down the stairs. "What are you two love birds doing?" Elena asks. "We aren't 'love birds' Elena." I say. "Yeah okay sure. We gotta get ready for the party. So You me and Bonnie will go shopping for your outfit, and Stefan, Caroline and Damon will do decorations and stuff." I nod and smile. "Sounds like a plan." I say. I eat my pancakes, thank Stefan one more time and head upstairs. "Uh Damon?" I say embarrassed. "Yeah Brit?" He says. "Um.. Can I take a shower here or..." He nods. "Right over there." He points to a room. "Um one problem.. I don't have any clothes to go shopping in." He smirks. "Be right back." I nod and bite my lip. He comes back up with, underwear a bra, high-waisted shorts and a tee shirt. "I'm not even gonna ask where you got this, so.. Thanks." I say. He smirks and winks at me. I walk into the bathroom and get in. I quickly get out out after washing myself and get dressed. "Brit? You ready to go?" Elena yells through the bathroom door. "Yeah! One sec!" I yell back as I finish drying my hair and walk out. "Kay. Lets go Bonnie!"

{At The Mall}

We walk into the mall. "Where are we going?" I ask excitedly. "I was thinking, we could get an outfit then get your hair and makeup done." Elena exclaims. I giggle. "Okay! Thank you guys so much for this." Elena nods. "No problem Brit." Bonnie taps my shoulder. "Yeah, you're our friend now." I smile at her. When we get to the mall, Bonnie goes to get me a 'gift' I guess. I told her not to but she insisted. So Elena and I are looking for outfits. ... ... ... ... After we find our outfits, Elena and I go to Starbucks and Bonnie meets us there. "Well I need an outfit too so you two just look around while I get my outfit?" Bonnie says. "Oh yeah sure." I say taking a sip of my cotton candy frap. After Bonnie leaves Elena starts to giggle. "What?" I say she comes to my side of the booth. "Ooo looks like the waiter has a little crush on you." She whispers. I look over and see a dirty blonde boy staring at me. He waves and I wave back politely but not like I like him. Cause I don't like him. "Yeah I'm not interested." I say to Elena taking another sip of my drink. "What! Why not? He's cute." I roll my eyes. "I like someone else." I say quietly. "Ooo who!?" My face turns red. "No one." She slaps my arm. "Is it Damon or Stefan?" My eyes go wide. "Uh... Both..." Her smile goes super wide. "Both! Awe that's so cute. You like the Salvatore brothers awe!" I glare at her as she starts causing stares. "Shh!" I say and lead he out of Starbucks. "Oh come on Brit. I bet one of the Salvatore brothers would wanna be with you. Which one do you like better?" I stare at the ground. "I don't know..." She smiles. "We'll figure it out tonight okay?" For now let's find Bonnie.

•{At My Apartment}•

As we get home we already have our hair and makeup done and we just need to put on our new outfits. Elena and Bonnie tried not to get something quite as 'fancy' as me I guess. My makeup was natural but really pretty she put on foundation and powder. Then a shimmery white in the corner of my eye. Then a light brown in the crease. For lipstick I have a pretty light pink color. Then winged out eyeliner and mascara. Then for my outfit I wore a black romper with spiked studded platform shoes and a few skull bracelets then a gold chain necklace. My hair was just straightened. Elena had a natural look but with no eye shadow or liquid eyeliner. Same with Bonnie. Elena had on some ripped jeans and a long sleeved shirt and converce. Her hair was straightened. Bonnie was wearing a floral dress with combat boots and her hair was curled.

"Brit you look great." Bonnie said. I smiled at her. "You too!" She smiled and Elena grabs my arm. "So we're gonna go down then you come down 3 minutes later." I smile and nervously nod. They go down and I wait 3 minutes. Then I walk down. I see Stefan and Damon. I wave a little and start to blush. Damon smirks and Stefan smiles. When I reach the bottom I see Caroline. "This is amazing Caroline!" I say happily. "Awe thank you but, Stefan and Damon helped out a lot." I was surprised. "Wow really?" She nodded. I hug her and a brunette boy walks up to me. "Hey, I'm Jeremy. Elena's brother." I shake his hand and say. "I'm Brittany." He smiles and walks away. Elena starts talking to me and leads me to... Stefan. Oh god Elena. "Hey Stefan Brit wants to dance with you. I'll go change to a slow song be right back." I glare at her but Stefan grabs my hand. "Hi." He says. "Hey." I reply as kindly as I can. "So how's the party?" He asks. "Good! Really fun. Good job." He nods and chuckles. As a slow song plays he wraps one arm around my waist and the other holding my hand. We start to dance and I'm blown away with how good he is. He dips me and we keep dancing. I soon realize everyone is staring. "Oh God." I say to Stefan. He chuckles. "It's okay. Just focus on me." I smile and nod. He starts doing a bunch of moves I can't even explain they're so complicated but he does them. Then the song ends and everyone starts clapping. Elena grabs my arm. "Well! Who do you like more?" I raise an eyebrow at her. "Elena. It was 1 dance with only 1 of them." She sighs. "Okay well where's Damon?!" My eyes go wide. "No Elena stop ill do it myself." She raises he hands and lets go. I walk up to Damon. "Hey." I say. "I saw your little dance with Stefan. Cute couple." He doesn't say it like he's joking like he usually does. "Uh no.. It was just a birthday dance." He chuckles. "Don't try to get us both. I've been with a girl like that before Stefan and I hate her with a passion now." I nod and start to walk away. I ignore Elena's calls for me and I run upstairs to a room. I don't know why I'm crying. Why do I care if Damon doesn't like me. There's still Stefan, he seems to like me. I try to stop messing up my makeup when I hear a knock on the door. "Brit are you okay?" Damon... What the hell does he want? I thought he didn't like me. "Yeah I'm fine I just needed to.. Um... Take a break.." He knocks again. "Open up." I shake my head even though he can't see me. "No." As soon as I say no he unlocks the door and comes in. I turn my back to him not wanting him to see me cry. I'm so emotional in this house. "Are you really that sad?" He sees I'm hurt. Why am I so sad about this? "I-I don't know.." He walks closer. "No Damon, you already told me. It's fine." He backs up. "Okay Brit. I'm sorry." I nod and walk out the door and there's Caroline, Stefan, Elena and Bonnie. "Were you guys listening.?" I say nervously. Elena nods. "Ugh! Seriously!" I walk back downstairs and outside to my car. I get in and start to drive away. When I get back to my apartment I'm getting calls from Elena, Stefan and Damon but I ignore all of them. Then I hear a knock on the door. "H-hello?" I say. No answer. I walk to the door. I see a man with short brown hair. I open the door. No ones there so I close it. When I turn around there's the man again. I squeal a little. "Um who-o are you?" I say scared. "Well love, I'm Klaus.
