Chapter 6

Stefan's POV

We've been looking for Brittany for over 3 hours now. She's not at her apartment. Where is she? "Caroline, maybe we should drive around to see if she's anywhere walking." Caroline just nods. Brittany is the first girl who've I've actually liked after Elena. She's beautiful. She's everything. Caroline looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "Why are you acting so weird?" I blink a few times and look at her. "I don't know what you're talking about." I say as we get into the car. We drive down a dark road and we see something lying on the side of the road. "Care stop. I smell blood." Her eyes go wide at me. "Stefan, stay in the car I'll check." I shake my head and breathe heavily. "No we'll both check. She rolls her eyes and agrees. We get out of the car and I hesitantly walk over to the lump on the side of the road. "Oh my god!" Caroline yells as she sees who it is. My eyes go wide. "Brittany?!" I ask Caroline. She nods I run over to the bloody body and grab her. My pulse starts to race when I see her blood. "Here Stefan, let me." I look thankfully at Caroline and quickly get away from the blood. Caroline carefully picks up Brittany's mangled body. "She's still alive. Barely.." I look up at her. "Well are we gonna give her blood or?" Caroline slowly nodded. "Do you want to or should I?" Caroline asks me. I raise an eyebrow knowing what she means. I walk up to Brittany and bite my wrist and carefully placed it into Brittany's mouth. "This shouldn't have happened.." I sighed. Caroline placed a hand on my shoulder. "Don't bring this onto yourself, it was Damon. I don't even get why she likes him and not you." I sigh again. After I'm done healing Brittany, Caroline and I place her body in the back of the car.

•{At Home}•

We get home and I grab Brittany's body and smile at her while walking into the house. When we get inside the party's over and all eyes are on us. "Oh my God! She's okay right?!" Elena looked at me worriedly. I nod slowly. I look up at Damon he looks hurt. I just glare at him. "Well I'm gonna go put her upstairs into bed. Everyone answers with a nod or an okay. I walk up the stairs into my room and set her down into the bed. Then I carefully take off her jewelry not wanting it to hurt her while she's sleeping. I then kiss her on the forehead and get into only my boxers and slip into the bed with her. I slowly wrap my arms around her and pull her near me and drift off to sleep.

【Brittany's POV】

I wake up in a room. Who's room? I shift my body and realize someone's in bed with me. I start to panic and try to see who it is. "Good morning." The person says. I shift so I'm facing the person who is embracing me. "Stefan?" I reply relieved. My eyes go wide. "Wait.. Someone bit me! I blacked out! She looked like E-Elena!" His eyes go wide and he glares. "Not Elena, her doppelgänger. Katherine.." What the hell? I've read books about doppelgängers. They're a mirror self of someone else. Elena had a, doppelgänger? "What was she?! A vampire? She bit me Stefan!" He nodded. "I know. She's a vampire. But... Damon, me, Caroline and Elena are vampires too.." I glare at him now not as terrified as mad. "You dumbasses! Why lure me in? Why even become friends with me? Stefan I liked you, and Damon. As more than friends. How could I have trusted you?" I get out of the bed and walk out of the room hitting someone in the door way. "Brittany I-" I glare at him. "Damon shut the hell up. I don't wanna hear it." He looks hurt. I walk past him. He quickly grabs my arm and flashes his vampire teeth and veins. I scoff. "You don't scare me. I already know what you are." He glares at me shoving me to the wall. Stefan is quickly at his side. "Damon stop." I shake my head at Stefan the best I can. "Do it then. Kill me. Besides, I kinda like Stefan better." Damon growls and throws me to the floor. Stefan's at my side quickly and picks me up. "A-Are you okay?" He asks obviously nervous. I nod trying not to make eye contact with him. "Oh come on Stefan, don't fall for her. She's a manipulative slut like Katherine." Damon looks at me smirking. I roll my eyes and glare at him. "This Katherine girl sounds quite fun to be honest." I smirk and Damon looks away as fast as he can. He's so hard to read. He's sweet one minute then a dick the next. "Well, Katherine's the one who attacked you last night so obviously you're an idiot." He grabs a glass and fills it with a random type of whiskey. "Duh. I didn't mean it seriously, just to annoy you dumb ass." He walks away with his drink in hand as Caroline walks upstairs. "What happened here?!" She said dramatically. I roll my eyes. "Nothing just... Typical Damon I guess." Stefan nods in approval. She smiles. "Well, we have this annual bikini car wash every year here in Mystic Falls and I was wondering if you wanted to be a part of it..." I nodded slowly. "Uh, yeah sure why not." I smile a little. I won't let Damon get to me.
