=============

The cool winter winds slice through our skin as we walk home from school. The past few months have been interesting between Nick and I. I was starting to develop feelings for him near the beginning of school and I felt like he was feeling the same. We've have had a few cute moments here and there, lots of laughing and playfully fighting.    School was getting into a normal routine again for both Nick and I. He was making friends and meeting a few girls. I was somewhat jealous that he wasn't just mine anymore. He was starting to get close with Savannah who was in our grade.    Now they were the ones having cute moments and laughing and fighting playfully.   I knew I would get over my feelings for Nick soon enough. We had never really acknowledged our feelings to each other. I would never want to risk something happening between us where we couldn't be friends anymore. He meant too much to me.

Nick's POV

I am really starting to like Savannah. She's super nice and really cute. She's in Mr. Jones' math class with me which is where we met.    We've hung out a few times since school has started. I think she's starting to like me as more than just the guy from her math class. Although, I'm not to sure how to make the move and ask her out.    I had finally gotten over Demi. I first met her when I moved in near the end of July.  She just blew me away on her hospitality. She welcomed me with a plate of cookies. That day we ended up eating the cookies together on my new front step talking about everything going on in our lives. It was is if we knew each other for a long time when it had only been a few hours.    It was that day that she told me about her dad and how he left when she was 5. She didn't have that many friends growing up because she was always scared that they were going to leave too. Demi was the friendliest person I knew, and I've met a lot of people.

So my date with Savannah was quite interesting. She seemed into me for the first hour or so before the movie then she was on her phone the whole movie. I hate that I did this, I kept looking down to see who she was texting. Brian. The "popular" guy at school. Starter for the football team. Of course Savannah would go for him. I was just the guy from her math class and a free movie.
