Chapter 5

Nicks POV

I enjoy being with Savannah a lot. My previous insecurities about our relationship have vanished.

I am going out tonight with Savannah on a double date with Demi and Brian. I'm really excited. We're all going out to dinner and then going bowling. It'll be fun I'm sure.

I text Savannah: "Hey babe, miss you"

She answers quickly "I know. Miss you too, Nicholas. I can't wait for our date :)"

"Me either, I'll pick you up in 30 minutes :)" I reply with.

Demi's POV

I look in the mirror and actually like what I see. Brian makes me feels so confident. I like the way my hair looks naturally. I like my eyes, and my eye brows. And I like my body. This is all new to me.

I'm getting ready to go out with Brian, Nick and Savannah on a double date. I'm really excited. I'm wearing loose fitting capri boyfriend cut jeans with a loose white V neck Tshirt. My carmel brown hair falls down my back past my shoulder blades. I head down stairs to wait for him as I hear a knock at my door.

I open the door and there he is. He wraps his arms around my lower waist and grunts as he picks me up. I bury my face into his neck and kiss it. He sets me down, and grin back at him. His 6' built body towers over me at 5'3". I pull him inside the house and close the door. Our fingers are intertwined as I lead him towards the couch. He sits in his usual spot and I sit with my legs swung over his. Although we've only been together for almost a month, we have such a great connection. He really gets me.

I lean on his chest and he pulls me closer. I text Nick to see if he and Savannah are ready to go. I put my phone down and wait for the buzz.

I face Brian on the couch while sitting on my knees and look at his lips and bite mine. He is so enticing. I give him a quick kiss, but I can't pull myself away from him. I spread my lips and invite his tongue in. I can't even describe how his kisses makes me feel.

"Okay, okay" I say pulling away from him with a grin. And we lock eyes.

"Fine," Brian says as he pouts trying to make me feel bad for stopping. And it works.

"I'll be right back" I grab my phone and run upstairs to get my bag. And I see that Nick had texted me 5 minutes ago. I chuckle out loud going back down the stairs.

"What?" Brian asks as he is slipping his shoes on.

"We got a little carried away, Nick answered me like 5 minutes ago" I chuckle again with a grin. I can't help but smile when I'm with him. I playfully push him out of the house and I lock the door. Turning around to already find his hand reaching for mine.

Nick's POV

D and Brian knock and walk into the house as Savannah and I are getting up from my couch and I switch off the tv.

"Hey guys!" I greet them enthusiastically.

"Let's go!" Demi says with that face eating grin she has when she's happy.

I pull Savannah to me by her waist and run my hand down her back to find her hand and head for the door. I grab my keys and lock the door. I see Demi and Brian making faces at each other from opposite sides of the car and I smile. I unlock the doors and open the car door for Savannah and close it after she's in.

As I get into the car Demi teasingly says to Brian "Why didn't you open the door for me?" She playfully punches him and says "asshole" under her breath.

Savannah on the other hand hasn't said a word since they got here. I wonder what's up.

Dinner was good. Savannah spoke, but not much. I did catch a few glances from Brian towards her and I'm not too sure what that was about. But I'm suspicious because of the texting when we were on our first date. Right now, we are headed over to the bowling alley to play a few games before calling it a night.

I look to my rearview mirror and see Demi. And I can tell she's really happy. I'm so glad. I smile, again.

We pull into the drive way of the alley and I park the car. I meet Savannah outside the car and reach for her hand with a wide grin which she returns. I give her hand a quick squeeze and a shake as I open the door of the building.

Demi's POV

I suck at bowling. It's not that hard. But I suck.

So far the date has been really good. Nick and Savannah look like they are really happy. Although she is quieter than I thought.

I'm sitting on Brian's lap as Nick get's a strike and walks over Savannah wrapping is arms around her tightly and sways back and forth. I go up to take me last turn of our first game and get 7 points. And I walk off the lane over exaggerating my pout.

"Hey, none of that missy!" Brian says as he tickled my sides and I squirm.

"Fine"

"Fine" he answers.

"Good" I scoff back.

"Good" he smirks back at me.

Savannah stands, "Brian, can I talk to you for a sec over there?" She points to the snack bar.

"Umm.... Okay?" I'm sitting beside him, he squeezes my knee reassuringly as he stands. I watch them walk over to the snack bar.

I turn to Nick "What the hell is that about?"

"I have no idea. I'm so confused"

We both look back at them as she gestures towards us, "Me too." I look down and pick at my nail polish.

Nick notices that I'm upset "Hey, it's okay," he moves beside me ad rubs my arm, "I'm sure it's nothing, don't worry about it, D"

I sigh and get up "I'm going to the washroom" I leave Nick by myself.

I stand at the bathroom mirror now, leaning on the sink. I look at myself and say "Demi, what has gotten into you. Snap out of it. You're over reacting. They're just talking. It's nothing. It's nothing. Go back out there and smile." I lightly pinch me cheeks because my face is a bit pale.

I walk out and Brian and Savannah are back at our playing area. Nick has his arm around her shoulder. I continue towards the seats and sit down beside Brian. He pulls me close. I turn and look up and smile at him, although he doesn't notice.

I suggest we start the second game and they all agree.

The evening finishes off better than I expected. It was a fun evening despite how emotional I got. We make plans for us 4 to go out again. Nick drops us off at my place where Brian's car is and he continues down the street.

Nick's POV

I drive Savannah home after I dropped Demi at home so we could have privacy to say goodnight.

I pull up into Savannah's driveway, slide into park and turn the ignition off. I get out to open the door and help her out of the car.

I wrap my arms around her and kiss her neck. I thank her for a great night. I place my finger under her chin and tilt her head up and I kiss her. The kiss lingers on our lips. I end the kiss first and pull back to see a smile on her face. I hug her tighter and she places her head on my chest.

"Alright babe, you should probably head in now, it's nearly 11" I suggest even though I don't want her to go.

"Kayyy," she elongates response. She reaches up on her tip toes and kisses me one last time for the night. She pivots and heads towards the front door. And I head home.
