" there are rule and regulations for punishment you know" Carrie blurt, she has always believe in standing against mistreatment, and as ruthless as the King may seem he has always bring up laws that will balance the right between the humans and the supernaturals.

" You will be kept in the dungeon along with most ruthless creatures, and if you survive the night you will be set free" she said smugly
Locked up in the dungeon for even one minute means going into lion den. The vampire intentions were clear she wanted her dead, she had seen the way the King look at her and no way will she allow a pathetic human take her rightful place.
The dungeon was a dreadful place to be in foul stink of blood and decomposition was flowing all over the place, she wonder if they ever care to even clean the place.
One of the dungeon door open and she was threw forcefully into the floor

That was the last thing she heard before she blackout.
