"You boys sounded completely insane back then," Uncle chuckles, running a hand through his hair. "I never thought you'd end up offering me a position in the Academy too, once you saved Victor."
"He didn't give us much of a choice!" Sean huffs, nudging a blushing Victor. "He said he wouldn't leave without his Uncle. By then you were part of the Academy anyway so it wasn't a big deal to us."
The room is quiet for a few moments as every takes in the fact that the entire family is together again for the first time in years. Uncle and Erica met not long after he and Victor joined the Academy. They hadn't left each other ever since. Jessica and her husband had been together for a long time now and the guys grumbled about her being too young to this day. Dr. Roberts had come into town just a few weeks ago and told Sean that he would be staying for a while.
For the first time in decades the whole family was in the same city together and it felt great. Still the Blackbourne team, as they were now called, felt something was missing. The final piece to their family had yet to be found. They weren't sure who that person would be, but they all agreed that when they found him or her, they would just know.
The boys had a silent conversation as their extended family chatted happily. They knew it was coming, call it a feeling in the air or an intuition. Their missing piece was right around the corner. All they had to do, was find them.
