"Davie has a whole day planned for us! As soon as he gets dressed and ready we will be spending the whole day with him, Joe and Luke. It'll be fun! Maybe you and Luke can connect, he's around your age." Mom blabbers on. I bet if I told her I was into Joe, she'd have a heart attack. Right here. Right now.

"He's nice, I'm gonna get dressed. Is a dress okay for today?" I say, swallowing the rest of my sandwich.

"Yeah, but don't wear heels. Lots of walking."

I don't understand why she added that piece of information in, I'm not the type of girl to wear heels. No matter what.

I stomp upstairs to prepare for the huge day head of me.

I stand in the hallway waiting on everyone. Davie, Mom, Luke, and Joe. I'm not a fast dresser, it's just they aren't "ready" yet. I fiddle with the headphones plugged into my phone, glad I remembered them. Mom and Davie exit the apartment, smiles on their faces. Ew...what were they doing? Don't even tell me...

Luke exits out of Joe's apartment, an angry expression on his face. What's up with him? A girl exits Joe's apartment two minutes later, followed by Joe. A girl. A girl. A girl. More like a women. A very pretty women.

"Joe, who's this pretty lady?" Mom questions. Thanks for lowering my self esteem.

"This is Lana." Joe says.

"Hi everyone!" Lana squeals. Luke rolls his eyes and I instantly realize why he's mad.

"Well lets not waste any time!" Davie says, shooing the crowd forward. I walk behind everyone, not wanting to be seen. Lana's dress puts my short, sleeveless, black dress, to shame.

I no longer feel pretty. Just crushed and ugly.

All because of that idiot Joe.

I'm an idiot.
