After ignoring Joe for two weeks, I'm forced to see him again.

"Its just a couple of weeks," Mom said. "We just need time alone. To see what we really want. Joe doesn't mind you staying at his place, he said its fine."

As soon as she said Joe my heart dropped. Completely. I smack into something hard, pulling me from my thoughts. My eyes land on a pair of black Chucks, clean and I'm guessing new.

"Excuse me, beautiful." A deep voice says. I let my eyes trail up to his face. And oh boy, isn't he cute.

"Aw, it's fine." I say, blushing. He smiles, running a hand through his hair.

"I'm John..what's your name?"

"Danielle, I just moved here."

He rubs his neck seeming a little nervous.

"Wanna uh grab lunch?"

Well I was going to go home but what the hell?

"Sure."

John's smile grows bigger and the nervousness drops, fast.

"There's this great Café. My aunt Darla owns it and I'm not saying it's great cause she owns it. She's actually really crabby. But the food is great."

I laugh at his blabbering and we start walking down the side walk. Look at me, putting myself out there for another fauilure. How great, Danny?

We walk up to a retro but modern cafe and as soon as we enter John gets love from everyone. Wow its like stepping into a little town where everybody knows everybody.

"What will you and the pretty girl be having, John?" A brunette waitress says. Pretty girl, a compliment. I wonder how many girls he comes here with.

"I just want a banana mufffin and what would you like...Danny?"

Danny...aww.

"Umm...I'll have the same thing."

The waitress walks off and is back instantly with warm yummy muffins.

I want to shove the whole muffin down my throat but thats unladylike and I dont want to look sloppy in front of this beautiful creature.

"So are you starting school down here this year?"

School? I havent even thought about that. School here, without my friends. Without Lizzy. Oh no.

"Um, I dont know for sure yet."

"Well you should, you'd like it."

I would? School down here? I can barely survive down here. Thats a whole new thought.
