557 Days Before Continued

He didn't take me to see my brother. In fact, I'm probably farther away from him now than ever. Once Rich had let me out of my cell, he had dragged me by my hair to a black van waiting right outside the door. The van seemed to blend in perfectly in the night. The moon and stars were covered up by thick clouds. It was to dark to see what kind of van it was, but it was big, kind of like the Chester van.

I kept tripping over rocks as I was dragged toward the van. Rich sighed heavily, throwing me over his shoulder with surprising grace. I knew something was wrong. Why would Rich be letting me out of my cell at this time of night. Charles should be asleep by now.

Hitting his back with as much force as I could manage, I tried to get free from his grasp even if I ended up falling on my face. He smacked my ass, causing me to let out a large shriek. The smack did the opposite of what he wanted. I struggled harder and screamed as loud as my throat would let me.

"You fucking bastard! Put me down!" I screamed in his ear. He suddenly came to a stop and dropped me on the ground. To say it hurt would be an understatement. I could feel the gravel digging into my back, drawing blood. I must have hit my head pretty hard too because I felt blood sliding down my face, a headache covering ever ounce of pain that the rest of my body was in. Damn, that was a big drop. He flipping tall. Groaning, I rolled onto my side, wanting the pain to go away.

"There you go. Now get up and get in the truck. Your brother isn't getting any younger you know." He hissed, kneeling down so he could be at my level. I could move, but I don't want to, just so I could piss Rich off even more. The aches from my fall were starting to fade away and I could focus on figuring out which of my injuries were worse than others. To me, it had to be my head. I probably had a concussion now to add onto my ever growing list of problems.

He must not have liked that I wasn't making any moves to follow through with his order as he grabbed a handful of my hair once again and pulled me to my feet.

"I said, get in the truck. You wouldn't want your brother to get hurt now, would you?" Rich growled, throwing me in the backseat of the Chester van. I just laid down on the ground, not wanting him to hurt my brother, not wanting him to hurt me anymore. I tried to pretend that he didn't scare me, but I was failing epically. Can't I be less obvious?

"Finally, you realize who is in charge. It definitely isn't you, sweet pea. Its best that you get that through your head now instead of later." He smirked. Is it just me or am I surrounded by people who smirk more than they smile? Looking at Rich again, I concluded that I was indeed correct. He smirked even harder, if that was possible, at the look of defeat on my face.

A wave of exhaustion hit me and I laid my head down on the floor, closing my eyes, not even trying to stay awake anymore. Rich however, had other plans for me. I felt him kick me in the stomach. It wasn't as hard as he could kick, but it still hurt like a bitch. Gasping for breath, I curled up in a ball yet again, wanting to protect myself from future injuries.

"Wake your ass up," was all he said before he sat down on the floor as far away from me as possible. He looked at me in disgust. I could picture what I must look like so I wasn't hurt that bad by his facial expression.

My hair must be knotted and all over the place thanks to Rich dragging me by it. In some places, blood matted my black hair together. Dried blood was on at least half of my face. It covered almost the whole right side of my face. There were probably deep, purple bags under my sparkling blue eyes from lack of sleep. My clothes were also ripped and torn, blood stains littering my poor white T-shirt. At least the black jeans wouldn't show the blood on them. Yeah, I must look like I just crawled of hell. To make it even worse was that my head was still bleeding and the headache was turning into a migraine.

Rich made no move to give me a rag or something to stop the bleeding, and I began to worry. I know that if you lose too much blood, you fall unconscious and could possibly die. I also heard that if you went to sleep without someone waking you up every few hours, you could fall into a coma. That is if you have a concussion. I really didn't want that. Charles would be left alone with no one. Best of all, I don't know if he even had someone to talk to. He is deaf after all and not that many people can sign.

"Where's my brother?" I asked, trying to keep the trembling from my voice, but ended up failing epically. In fact, I started shivering in fear. For all I know, Rich is taking me somewhere to kill me for being a smartass and getting on his nerves all the time.

"Don't worry so much. You'll see him soon enough." Rich's smirk never left his face, not even for a minute.

"Where's Jonathan?" I asked, just remembering my best friend. He should be the one who takes me to see him, not Rich. He hates me so it makes no sense that he would do something nice for me without wanting something in return.

"Big Boss has him on a different assignment. He should be back in a week or two."

That can't be possible. Jonathan would tell me if he was leaving. Wouldn't he? He is, after all, my best friend. He wouldn't leave me here to fend for myself with Rich the ass. Now that I think about his name, it doesn't make any sense. Rich and ass do not rhyme, but bitch does. Rich the Bitch, yeah, that sounds better. It makes more sense now.

I stayed quiet, not wanting to make Rich more madder than he already was. The Chester van hadn't started driving yet. In fact, the driver's and the passenger's seat had nobody in them

The van itself was very plain. The was like a run down version that FBI agents used to transport the suspects or convicted villains to where they were supposed to go. The paint on the inside was peeling and the seats have holes in them, the stuffing was falling out and piling on the floor.

Rich seemed to notice that the people were taking a while to get in the truck. He stood up, opened the door on the back of the van, and screamed at the top of his lungs.

"Get your asses in the truck and let's get going! I have things to do, people to see! Don't make me kick your asses to next week. Or I could simply get Big Boss to put you on clean up duty."

I heard people running as fast as they could go. The doors opened and three people joined Rich and me in the van. Two went in the front seats and the last joined me in the back.

"Sorry, sir. We were checking to make sure that we had locked the cell back up. We didn't want anything to be stolen in our absence." The man who joined us in the back said, fear evident all over his face and soaked in his voice.

"Do I hear you making excuses? You know how I feel about excuses. Our orders were to retrieve Lizzie and bring her to Big Boss and I won't have you three fucking this up." Rich hissed, spit flying out of his mouth. I made a disgusted noise when some landed on me. He looked down at me as if he had forgotten that I was there at all.

"Shut up Lizzie." He said, kicking me in the leg. I knew that I was going to be covered in bruises by the time I was taken to my brother if he kept this up. My body was already halfway there.

"But she wasn't even saying anything," said the boy who was making excuses. I still didn't know any of these people other than Rich. He looked nervous as soon as the words left his mouth.

"What did you say Nickolai?" Rich hissed once again, turning way from me so that he could glare at Nickolai.

"He didn't say anything," I said, my voice weak with pain and fear. "I said I wasn't even saying anything. Except I was talking in third person. Don't do anything to him."

Rich turned back to me, a glare so deadly on his face that if looks could kill I'd be twelve feet under instead of six. Nickolai looked at me with sympathy evident on his face.

∆I'm sorry. He mouthed. I barely nodded my head to show that I knew what he was saying.

"What?!"

"And this is a van not a truck." I said, knowing as soon as those words left my mouth he was going to explode. However, he looked strangely calm.

"You're going to be so much fun to break."
