It's been three weeks since I last him walk across that stage. It's been really hectic at school, I just need him here. I've spent too many years fighting back tears, why can't the past just die!
Walking around the stage, I look up at the brick roofing and sit down. Wondering if someone will kick me out, I close my eyes and sing a little song.
"You sound good, you should try out for the spring musical," Carter leans on the doorpost.
Opening my eyes, I get up and brush my hair back "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be in here."
She walks toward me, "this is open to everyone genius." Giggling "uh, I knew that," she rolls her eyes "yeah, sure you did."

Crossing my arms, I glare at her "I'm still mad at you Carter." Walking toward her, she sighs, "Ashely, I can't say how sorry I am, but I love him." Pushing her back toward the wall, I clasp my hand on her throat, "don't you dare say that! You don't love him, you just want him for sex." Laughing, she shakes her head "is that what you think whore." Squeezing her tighter, i mumble "oh, don't worry; you'll get what's coming to you." Letting her go, she gasps for air as I walk off. Clenching my hands into fists, I realize what I have to do. Should I ask Bruce for help, or should I take this battle on my own?
Looking for Jesse, I spot him in the hallway talking to his friends.
"Hey Jesse!" Storming to him, I swing at him and kick him. "You messed up big time boy," I cross my arms and walk away. Now on the ground, he closes his eyes "what have I done."

When school is over, I take the bus and ride home. Grabbing my phone from my backpack, I call Bruce. Picking up on the fourth ring, he answers "hello?"
"Hey dude, it's Ash."
"Oh, uh hey Ashely." I could tell he sounded nervous to hear from me. "Listen, I need your help with something."
"Sure, what is it?"
Sitting down on my bed, I exhale "revenge, how good are you with a knife?"
"Um, I'm a black belt so I think I'm pretty good," he chuckles.
"Okay, well could you help me out then?"
"Sure, I can't for the next few days, but I'll come down this weekend and see what I can do," he grins.
Nodding, I smile "thanks Bruce, and I miss you at school. It hasn't been the same without you." Blushing, he responds "I miss you to Ash, college isn't all that great- but I actually met someone."
Gulping softly, I run a hand through my hair "oh, that's awesome, uh; who is it?"
"Well, my friend introduced me to her and we've been getting along great. She's in two of my classes." Trying to be happy for him, I congratulate him and hang up. Not knowing what else to do, I do my homework.

" Ashely, I need you in the kitchen please," my mom shouts. Walking downstairs, I smell spaghetti and half smile "it smells good mom, what did you need help with?"
"Oh, could you put in the sauce and stir it please? I have to finish the laundry." She kisses my head and walks off. Yawning, I do what she asked and stir. My dad walks in a few minutes later "hi hun-" Looking at me, he clears his throat "oh, hey sweetie, how was your day at school?"
"Okay, thanks." Continuing to stir, I think back to sophomore year and remember how I met Jesse and Bruce. Meeting them, I felt more happier and full of life. Now since Bruce is gone, I feel hatred and emptiness. But he made a promise to visit me. But would he break that promise??
