I felt like my head was counting down the days until graduation hit. Walking down the familiar hallway, I go to my locker and open it. Getting my books for math class, I close it with a sigh and walk away. I miss Bruce a lot, I know he has a "lady friend," but I can't help the way I feel about him. Maybe I should-"

Bumping into a strong, muscular chest; my books scatter across the floor. Cursing, I quickly pick them up except for one. Blowing hair out of my face, he picks it up and places it on top of my other ones. "Sorry about that."
Gulping, I silently mumble "it's f-fine, I should be more careful." Showing his pearly whites, I blush and tilt my head to look at him. His chocolate brown hair accented his greenish-blue eyes. Noticing I was staring, his face turned a slight red and walked away. Stopping a few feet away, he turns around "what's your name, and I'm new here."

"Uh, Ashely; yours?"
"Jake, oh and uh; do you know where C16 is?"
I nod, "nice to meet you, and I was just headed there." He smiled and walked by my side as I asked him questions about his life. "So, what school did you transfer from?"
"Charleston Academy." Raising my eyebrows, I ask "isn't that an all boys school?" He nods and scratches his neck, "tell me something about you."
I shrug, "what do you want to know?"
"Uh, idk; I guess anything."
I chuckle "trust me.. Jake, is it? I'm not that interesting." He grins, "I highly doubt that Ashely."
I blush, "uh thanks, I guess. You got a last name?"
  "Walker, yours?"
"Pane," stopping at the classroom door. He holds out his hand as I shake it, "welcome to Seawater Prep Jake, I hope you like it here." Going inside the classroom, I see Carter and take my seat next to her.

"So.. who's your friend Ashely?" Looking over her shoulder, she bites her lip and scans her eyes up and down his body. Rolling my eyes, I throw a pencil at her, "for 5 seconds, can you stop trying to get into a guys pants."
Sighing, "I suppose so," class begins. The teacher passes out some worksheets as I turn to see the clock. Glancing at the time, Jake's eyes meet mine and I smile. He smiles back and winks at me. Turning back around, I bite my lower lip and finish my worksheet. Turning it in, the light comes on. It couldn't be sooner to.

Walking out the door, I hear a familiar voice "Yo Ashely!" Turning around, I smile "oh hey Jake, what's up?"
"Could you help me with something?"
"Yeah, of course.. uh, what is it?"
He rubs his arm and looks at his feet, "math."
Chuckling, "of course," we go out separate ways when I mumble "Jake Walker, why is that name so familiar?" Shrugging it off, I head to Theology and take a seat.

Meanwhile, Jake sat in English AP thinking to himself, "I know Ashely, we used to be so close, I wonder what happened. It's like she doesn't even remember me anymore." Sighing to himself, the teacher tells us to write a essay on the Cold War. The class groans in protest when the light comes on. Gathering my backpack, I sling it over my shoulder and walk out. Following people to the commons, I whip my head around to find Ashely. Seeing Ashely talk to this one girl, I head over there.
Ashely's POV
Psst, Ashely; hottie coming your way," Carter whispers. Sighing, he wets his lips "hey Ash."
I smile, "hey." Carter clears her throat and looks at me. I get the message and sigh, "oh, sorry; Jake this is my friend Carter."
He extends his hand, "nice to meet you, any friend of Ashely's is a friend of mine." She shakes it and pouts at me, "why do you always get the hot ones Ash!"
Laughing, I roll my eyes, "I don't."
Glancing over, I could see Jake blushing and look away, "Ashely, could I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah, Carter could you give us a minute please." Mumbling, she walks off as I turn to Jake, "well?"
Clearing his throat, he begins "I know you don't remember me at all, but could you meet me at our place tonight at 7?"
"Excuse me? We had a place?"
Closing his eyes, he runs a hand through his hair, "it's a restaurant that we always went to. It's called Rio's, just meet me there." Walking away, I raise an eyebrow "I used to eat there?"

Carter comes back over and hugs my shoulders "tell me everything!"
"Well, apparently I need to meet Jake somewhere."
Carter squeals, "I told you he liked you."

"You never told me that Carter," I push her off.
Blowing hair out of her face, she shrugs "I was thinking it."
