A Zanemau fanfic (COMPLETED)

Chapter 2

Aphmau's POV:

Aphmau walked out of the room to go find the library. One of the guards said, "Hey! Where do you think your going?" Aphmau turned and replied, "Um... to the library. Why?" The guard then said, "You can't go anywhere unless Zane is taking you there. That is what we were told. So, get back in your room!" The guards took a step towards her, but, were stopped in their tracks by Zane's voice. "Guards. What are you doing? I was just about to show Lady Aphmau where the library is so that she can go there if I am of doing something." The Guards stood back to their posts as Zane walked out of the room to Aphmau, took her hand and lead her to the library.

Aphmau was sitting on the balcony of her room. She heard a soft caw and looked to the railing to see a red tailed hawk sitting there. Aphmau said to it, "Why, hello there. What's your name?" "Scarlet. Her name is Scarlet." Zane's voice came. Aphmau whipped around to see him standing in the doorway to the balcony. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a cross on it, black pants and shoes, and a long, blue jacket that went down to the back of his knees. "And how exactly, Zane, do you know her name is Scarlet?" Aphmau said in a snarky voice. Zane looked her in the eyes and said, "Because she is my pet and friend. Anyway, are you ready to go?" Aphmau sighed. She had agreed to go to see a play with him. "Yeah, I'm ready." She said.

Zane frowned. "You don't seem very happy to go. Is there something on your mind? Whatever it is, you can tell me." He paused, "Or Scarlet. You can tell her to." They walked to the play in silence. Zane broke the silence, "You look absolutely stunning Lady Aphmau." Though she didn't want to, she blushed bright red and her heart opened up to him a bit. Zane looked over his shoulder and laughed saying, "Hahaha! You look as red as a cherry! I didn't know I had flattered you so much! Hahahaha!" Aphmau responded by giggling and punching Zane on the shoulder. Zane then said, "Yes! I got you to laugh! Point for me!" Which made Aphmau turn an even brighter red. Zane merely laughed again. They made it to the play and got settled in the balcony and Aphmau dozed off and, though she didn't mean to, rested her head on his shoulder.

They were in their room when Zane asked, "So, Lady Aphmau, what was it that was on your mind when you were on the balcony? You don't have to answer, but, I'm just curious." Aphmau looked up at him and said, "I don't know. I was just thinking about..... well, why are you being so nice to me?" Zane looked down,blushes and then responded, "Well........... because you...... you're the first girl I have ever really..... Like-liked."
