Chapter 8

Aphmau POV

Everyone gasped when he said that. Even I know what that is! It's the sacred place of the Divine Warriors. Aaron shouted, "Zane! How in the world could YOU of all things have gone to The Divine Tree!?" Zane replied simply, "I don't know." Garroth then pulled me away from Zane's cell, shut the door, and pulled me outside. "Garroth! What the heck?" I said, struggling against his grip. Laurence then said to me, "Aphmau, we've been wanting to ask you and now seems like a good time. What were you guys doing out in the woods?" I swallowed. Calm down Aphmau. You wanted to tell them this anyways right? I thought to myself. "Zane and I were heading over here when you guys attacked us, er.... rather, Zane." They looked at each other and then Travis spoke. "What do you mean Aphmau?" I didn't answer because I noticed that Dante seemed to be thinking. Then a light bulb seemed to go off and Dante said, "You love him. Don't you Aphmau. The way that you acted when Zane passed out and how you've been protecting him says it all. It's true, isn't it?" The others looked at Dante and Laurence said, "Dante, come on. There's no way......" "It's true Dante." I said cutting Laurence off. They all stared at me and I got up, Brushed myself off and went inside the old guard station to free Zane.

Zane POV

I saw Aphmau come in. Even in the dim lighting of the guard station, She looked radiant and beautiful. She opened my cell door and pulled me out. Gripping my hand she lead me out of the guard's station with my stuff and lead me back into the forest. We were back in the clearing when Aphmau apologized for everything. I hate it when she's sad. So, I sang her a song to cheer her up. (Cue song and the lyrics are from Google Play)

"Just like when we went over to the play right? HAHAHA!" She laughed again and recreated it by punching me in the shoulder. We laughed and it felt wonderful to have the tension gone. "If only we could enjoy this with every one else." No sooner had those words left my mouth did I hear five ladies giggling.
