Chapter 5

Aphmau POV

"Zane. Thanks. That song was wonderful. Hey, you don't have to take it off but, what do you look like without your mask? Just wondering." Zane looked at me. He replied,"Garroth once told me that I was to ugly to be seen. My father said so to. I never took off the mask since." I looked at him. How could his own father and brother say that?  I thought. "I'm so sorry Zane. Really I am." We sat down and he looked me in the eyes again. That's when I noticed something. "Hey Zane, I don't remember you having haze-green eyes." It was true. His eyes were a greenish hazel. much different from Lord Garte and Garroth's ice blue eyes. Zane's were more soft and beautiful. Zane replied,"Aphmau? Remember how my voice sounded deeper before? That was from my father hitting me in the windpipe. As for my eyes. Well, you of course remember how mean I was before. That was because I was possessed by 5 demons. It hurt when they came. They were powerful and they immediately took over. My father loved the change. Garroth was never nice to me and Vlayd, poor Vlayd. We used to do so much together. Then I just changed. I can't even imagine what it must have been like. And since you asked earlier, this is what I look like without the mask." He took off his mask and he looked like (picture above)

Zane POV

I told her everything and took off my mask. It felt like 500 pounds being lifted off of my shoulders. I was actually amazing. And she liked how I looked without my mask. She was studying my face and then she said, "Zane, thank you for sharing with me. That must have been hard. I can't even begin to imaging what that must have felt like. It must have been horrible. We should get to be. It's late." We went into our tents and the next morning we started to pack up. "Hey Aphmau, how are y..." I didn't get to finish. An arrow flew through the clearing and hit me on the arm. I heard Aphmau shrieking my name. Her voice was faint and I felt dizzy. I fell to the ground and then everything went black.

Sorry that I haven't been updating. I still have my writers block. Anyways I am slowly getting ideas so don't worry there should be another chapter up soon! Until then, Peace out my peeps!
