Annabella's POV!
"Annabella please get up. You don't want to be late for baseball camp do you." My mom yelled for me to get up.
I got up and I got my practice uniform on. I honestly love the sport and I even love the practices, but the waking up in the morning I could seriously live with out. I got my bag and my bat then i got in my car. I have finished volleyball camp, basketball camp, and I have three days before school starts so that means the last days of baseball camp and then volleyball all the way until winter starts.
I turned up my music which is the normal band I play in the car before practice. Fall out boy. I love this band because the music gets me pumped which I love. I looked down and the next thing I know is my body getting flown around and everything blacked.
Chandler's POV!
"Chandler get up it's time for baseball." my dad also known as my baseball coach yelled. Yeah my dad is the coach for the high school baseball team. He is basically the couch for everything.
We got into my dads truck and head to the baseball field for practice. We where half way there when my dads phone rang.
"Hello." he said.
All i heard was him say what then he slammed on the brakes. He made a U turn and he got off the phone. I looked at him and he was looking at me very worried.
"What was that all about dad?" I asked him.
"Our number one catcher just got into a car wreck and its pretty serious. Her right leg caught on fire from the knee down and she blacked out. They think she shattered both of her knees and her left leg is in pretty bad shape. Her dad said it was black, blue, and purple all the way down."
"What! She is the only one who can catch my throws."
He game me his phone to call and text everyone saying practice was canceled and the reason why. My dad was talking to her parents and to the doctor. So here is basically what happened. Our other all star player who is my partner the catcher is the only one who can catch my pitch. Now we have to change the whole things because she is out. This is fun freaking fantastic.
Annabella's POV!
I woke up and my coach was sitting down. He smiled at me and handed me the water and pain pills. I tried to get up, but my dad told me to stay laying down. My mom was in tears.
"What happened?" I asked.
"You where is a wreck and now my partner is changed and I cat do our signature pitches. That's what happened." Chandler said and walked out.
I looked at coach and he half smiled. I gave him the water back and he set it on the table. My dad handed me my phone and it was shattered. How fun.
"So what about the team and volleyball season coming up?"
"Your not going to play at all this year or next. Probably for the rest of your life kid. Your lucky to be alive." the doctor said.
"I can't just not do sports though. Isn't there like training or something I can do to help fix my legs and shoulder so I can play at least one game this year."
"I don't think that is a very smart idea myself." my coach said.
"Coach who is going to be the new all star catcher?"
"I don't know. We will hold try outs for our new catcher and you and Chandler can help pick them. You can give them a few tips and Chandler can work with them." he responded.
"Fine."
I can not believe this is happening. What am I going to do since I can't play sports?
Chadler's POV!
"What are we going to do man?"
"I don't know. Your dad is the coach. Are you freaking out because you like her or are you just freaking out for the teams sake of things." my best friend Adam said.
"Chandler you have to admit since this girl has been the all star catcher your head has been spinning. You have never done this good at pitching in your life. Maybe your head is making you think that practice is helping and it probably is, but maybe this girl is helping you too." my other best friend Blake said.
"Guys for the love of God you know I don't like this girl. She isn't my type. She is just one of the guys and who is going to be our new catcher now? God help us if my dad puts one of the boys behind that plate."
"Well we know that you pitch, Blake is our all star on third and like always I am your back up man at short stop. That wont change, but you never know what plan your dad has up his sleeve." Adam said.
"Heaven for bid one of his plans is actually good. Hopefully he leaves it to us." Luke came and sat down by us.
"Hey Luke. Where have you been." I asked him.
"With the girlfriend. Her family invited me over for one of the family parties and i decided to go." he responded.
"Sup ladies." the last man of our group said.
"Why do you always call us ladies and get here last Dylan ." Blake said.
"Don't know. Probably because you all don't have a brother who you have to bring places on the weekend like I do."
"Your brother is seventeen and a junior. Why doesn't he just get his own car and take his driving test like the rest of us?" Adam asked.
"He is afraid of wrecking."
"So he rides with you why? I mean dude you drive like we are on the Titanic and your planning to actually kill us even though they didn't hit that ice berg on purpose." I said while everyone laughed.
"I don't know. I guess because our parents are to busy. Even your dad is too busy to take him places. I get all of our parents are business people, but i mean they are good friends and i feel like they never hang out with us and we are their kids." Dylan responded.
"My parents are not business people and they are only friends with Chandler's parents and they are barley even what you would call friends." Blake said.
We just sat there talking. I really want to know what my dad has planned for this season now. I can not believe this happened. Se already was clumsy, but now we really lost one of our best players. I just know that we will have to work extra hard and lets be honest, at least now we can see who the non dedicated player are. If you don't love practice then you don't love the game so you won't love the team. Simple as that.
