"Please Ash!" He knew I only called him Ash when something was either really bad or really good. "I really want him to stay."
"Where would he stay?" Asher asked.
"Wherever works."
"The other guest room is Dawn's when she comes over," Asher said. He was leaning against the counter. Brayden was still asleep.
"Asher you have four guest bedrooms plus yours. I'm sure we can figure something out." I said laughing.
"The other rooms are right across from yours. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." He said with a sigh. I knew that sigh. I was about to win and he would stay.
"Pretty please," I said looking up at Asher.
"Oh don't give me the eyes! That's cheating," he groaned. "Ugh, fine. He can stay."
"Yes! Thank you Asher!" I shouted jumping up and giving him a hug.
"I guess my place is just a rent free apartment huh?" He laughed.
"No.. more like a roadside inn. You stay till you find some place else to go." He rolled his eyes.
"Alright I know you want to. Go tell him he can stay." He knew me so well. I jumped up and ran towards my room. I ran right into a sleepy Brayden. He was shirtless. I never noticed his body. He wasn't built but he wasn't a twig either. He looked good. I fell backing up. He shouted and tried to catch me but fell with me. Right on top of me. I looked up at him. He was smiling at me with one arm on either side of me.
"Hi," he whispered sleepily.
"Good morning sleepy," I smiled
"What time is it?" He asked looking up for a clock.
"Around 6 in the afternoon," I said looking at the scar on his chest. I reached up and traced my finger tips along the scar. Almost all the way across his chest traveling from his shoulder almost to his belly button. I looked up at him. He was watching me.
"Sorry," I said pulling my hand back. He smiled.
"Well I mean I am basically laying on you shirtless right now so I should've expected it," he said standing up and helping me up. I reached up to touch the cut again. It was pretty well cleaned up but not very much done medication wise. He was watching me again.
"Can I please help?" I asked quietly still looking at the cut.
"Why?" He asked simply. I looked up at him.
"Isn't it obvious? You have a cut. I can help. I want to help," I said shrugging. He smiled and I grabbed his hand pulling him behind me. I took him to the bathroom with the first aid kit and fixed up his cut. He stayed silent the entire time with his hand on my arm through most of it.
"What are you so scared of?"
"Nothing," he jerked his hand back as I put everything away.
"So Asher said that you can stay," I said casually. He smiled.
"Is that why you ran into me?" He asked laughing.
"Maybe..." I said. I smiled at him and he winked. It took me a moment to regain my composure and unblush my cheeks. He laughed. "Anyway, welcome to Asher's inn!"
