Moving in

I woke up hearing people whisper. I looked up and saw Brayden. He stopped talking and looked at me. I looked up at Asher. He smiled.

''Want some breakfast?'' He asked. I looked at the window. I had been here all night.

''Um... No thanks Asher,'' I said. I stood up. ''I didn't mean to stay all night, sorry, Asher.''

''You know I don't care. Stay forever for all I care. My home is yours, you basically live here anyway,''he said.

''Sorry about almost hitting you with a car,'' I said to Brayden feeling embarrassed.

''Don't worry about it,'' he said. It seemed odd for him to be so cool with the fact I had almost hit him with a car. ''Well, don't do it again, but I get that you didn't see me.''

''Well, I planned to actually hit you next time,'' I said. He laughed.

''As long as you don't ALMOST hit me. Either hit me or don't there is no in between.'' He said with a serious look that made me laugh a little.

"Daisy, I have been thinking." Asher sounded serious. "I want you to move into my spare bedroom. I don't want him to touch you again."

"What?!" Brayden nearly shouted.

"Nothing." I said quietly.

"Please Daisy. Last night was worse I could tell." Asher said pleading.

"Who touched her? What happened?" Brayden was shouting now.

"Nothing!" I said glaring at him.

"Please move in here. I'm always worried one day you won't get away from him." Asher was my best friend. He had asked me to move in before but I refused. It wasn't so bad then. Only every couple of months Todd would grab me or say something. Now it's almost everyday. Sometimes things go further than words or little things here and there. Sometimes he tries to kiss me. Or things like last night. "Please Daisy. I will beg."

"No don't beg." I said still thinking. "I'll move in here. I will help with the horses. I'll cook and help clean so I'm not just here."

"You know you don't-"

"Asher its either that or I don't move in," I said hoping he would let it go. He didn't say a word.

"Wanna go get your stuff?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

.......

"What are you doing?" My aunt questioned as Asher and Brayden helped me carry my things out to our trucks. We brought mine and Asher's.

"Moving out. I'm sorry miss but your husband is a pig and I can't let Daisy around dirty hogs. The poor girl may break a nail or something." Asher said politely. The tone was polite but he was being rude.

"By the way we would appreciate it if you would keep the animals put away while we gather her things. Where is your hog?" Brayden asked. Then yelled, "HERE PIGGY PIGGY PIGGY!"

"Brayden!" I shouted and hit his arm. "I'm sorry aunt Carol I just can't stay here. I'm moving in with Asher."

"Asher? A boy? That's highly inappropriate. And what's this about Todd and hogs?" She asked looking confused.

"Nothing they are just being rude." I said looking at them. Asher waved innocently.

"Why are you leaving?" She asked. I shrugged.

"Well you know I just wanna go be with my friends. Been here for three years. Time to go." I said smiling. "I'll come back to see you. I just can't wait to be out in the world. Please don't make a big deal about it."
