"So, what do you think?" Aila stepped out of the dressing room and faced her friends. They had been shopping since they had left the office and hadn't found the right dress, until now.
Both Clarissa and Lauren put down their magazines and looked at Aila expecting to see another disappointment, but both gasped when they saw their friend. "Oh...my...gosh...This is the dress! He will die when he sees you in this!" Lauren screamed.
Clarissa cried out and knelled on the floor in the middle of the boutique. "Dear Lord, thank you for letting her find the perfect dress, In your name I pray, Amen!" She and Lauren started to do tribal dances in the middle of the boutique, while all the other customers stared and talked in hushed whispers. Aila only laughed, used to both of her friends embarrassing and weird ways.
"So, have we found a winner?" Aila said and looked in the three way mirror. The dress was pretty perfect. It was a black fitted dress with a sweetheart neckline that came right above her knees. Thanks to Raul, her untamed curly locks were now straightened and put into a high stylish bun, leaving her freshly cut bangs out. The red pumps that Aila was wearing earlier in the day gave the outfit just the right amount of fire.
Aila started to tear up. She couldn't believe that she wasted so much of her life on that bastard that ruined her life over 10 years ago, and now she was finally getting it back. Using Daniel as a re-bound of course. But, her friends didn't need to know that she was playing him, or was she?
"YES! FINALLY! God knew I couldn't see one more dress or my eyes would roll out of my head and my brain would explode!" Clarissa stopped mid-tribal dance and took in her best friends appearance. She noticed the tears in her best friends eyes and hugged her from behind.
"You look beautiful Ailey. I'm so happy for you." Clarissa said and laid her head on her best friends shoulder. Lauren came on the other side of Aila and kissed her cheek, "So am I."
"Thank you guys so much, I don't know what I would do without you guys. I have the best friends in the world." Aila was on the verge of full-blown crying, but had to reel in her emotions because she didn't want to mess up her make-up, and she knew Clarissa would have been pissed.
"We know we are!" Clarissa piped. Aila rolled her eyes and Lauren laughed.
"Okay! Lets get this show on the road! We gotta get you back home so that that hunk of a man can come pick you up!" Lauren said excitedly.
Clarissa and Lauren dropped Aila off and told her to call them when the date was over. She agreed, knowing that she didn't want her friends showing up at her apartment at two in the morning, demanding answers.
Aila went up to her apartment and sat down in her living room. She breathed in and out, suddenly very nervous about this date. She knew she shouldn't be-It was just Daniel for crying out loud! That handsome, irresponsible, funny, beautiful eyed, perfect body, sexy, irresistible man...
Aila smacked her forehead to discontinue her train of thought. What the hell was she thinking? She wasn't supposed to think like that, ESPECIALLY about Daniel; that stupid son of a gun who thought he could get any girl that he wanted. Not this girl Daniel Ackart! Not this girl..
But why was she secretly excited for this date? What if Daniel wasn't that bad of a guy after all? What if all this actually worked out?
Maybe it would be like one of those books, where the player would fall in love with that one loner girl who never dated anyone and they would live happily ever after.
She couldn't help but smile at the possibility. She kinda actually wanted this to work out.
She shook those thoughts out her head. Jeez Aila, Its only the first date and you're already thinking about a future together. What the hell is wrong with you?
She looked at the clock on her wall and frowned. 7:10? Was that the right time? She pulled her blackberry out of her purse and checked the time again. Yup, that was the right time.
"I guess he's running late, probably stuck in traffic..." Aila said to herself. She could wait a little longer-it was just ten minutes, and she didn't want Lauren and Clarissa kicking his ass because of ten minutes.

Daniels POV
Daniel was in a great mood. He had gotten the best dinner reservations in the best restaurant in town, and also had rented the best tux that he could find in order to catch Aila's attention. He was not holding back, especially if he wanted his plan to work right.
"Now all I need to do be on my way..." He gathered up his stuff and headed out the door.
"Hey baby."said a voice behind him as he locked the door. Daniel froze, knowing who it was the moment he heard her voice. He turned around and saw the sensual little red head who could turn him on just by giving him one look. The green top that she was wearing was buttoned down to the last notch exposing her sensual breasts and her short skirt and high heels elongated her perfectly tanned legs. She had a smirk on her face, probably liking all the attention he was giving her.
Daniel shook his head and told himself to stop drooling. This girl was bad news. And he needed to leave or he would be late for his date with Aila.
She came closer and touched his chest, wanting his attention."I want you right now, baby." She looked at him through her dark, long eyelashes and bit her lip.
Daniel started to push her away, but she grabbed him by his shirt and kissed him. Daniel melted in her hands, forgetting about where he was going or what he was doing. All that mattered was her; it had always been like that with Hailey.
Daniels throat went dry and he wasn't able to speak. She stood on her tip-toes and kissed him on his neck, taking off his tie and throwing it on the floor, already undressing him.
"What are you doing here? I-" He whispered, his eyes already filled with lust.
"Shhhh...," she said, putting her finger over his mouth to silence him. "Lets go inside. I want to have a little fun.."
She smirked when Daniel unlocked and opened his penthouse door. It was always too easy with him.

Twenty minutes...
Thirty minutes....
An hour.....
Aila started to pace back and forth, thinking of all the things that could have happened. She tried calling Daniels cell phone-no answer. His work phone-straight to voice mail. She didn't want to call Lauren and Clarissa yet. I mean he could still show up with a logical excuse...right?
Unless.....
No.....
He woudn't have stood me up...
Could he..?
Aila stopped pacing back and forth and sat down on the sofa. He stood me up...
For some reason, AIla's hear felt like it was breaking in two..
Tears started running down her face, messing up her perfectly done make-up. She kicked off her red pumps and cried.
"THAT BASTARD!" She screamed and walked to her room and threw off her dress. She changed into leggings and a sweatshirt and pulled her hair into a high ponytail. Cleaning off her make-up in the mirror, she said actually really looked at herself. She looked crazy...she looked....PISSED.
Already set with a plan in mind, she grabbed her car keys and looked in her associates folder and found the address.
She was going to Daniels house.
And she was getting answers.
