chapter 2

Chapter 2 Harry:  

"Err hello" I said awkwardly to the four people standing in front of me.

"Hi I'm Lana" and golden haired four year old girl said to me and gave me a dimpled smile.

 I crouched down to her eye level and smiled "well hello beautiful my names Faye" she gazed into my eyes skeptically before gasping.

 I felt confused as the little girl placed her hand on my cheek immediately a warm feeling spread thought my mind. I sighed in content from the feeling and held her hand against my cheek as I leaned into it. It felt like we had sat here for ten minutes when in reality it was about five seconds. Time seemed to slow down when she touched me. I opened my eyes and looked up to see the others staring at us in confusion.

 "I like her" Lana beamed before walking past me into my house. I chuckled at her boldness and ushered the rest of her family inside. It took me a second to realize that they were dressed in semi formal clothing while I was in a baggy sweat shirt and sweat pants. I lead them into the dining room where my mother stood in her nice dress pants and floral blouse.

"You forgot didn't you?" She asked me as my father took his place beside her. I looked at her weirdly and cocked my head to the side trying to remember what she claims I had forgotten, drawing blanks.

 "Uh" was my unintelligible response. She placed her hands on her hips and locked eyes with me

"I told you two nights ago that we would be having company over for dinner" she said. I tried to remember what I was doing that night

 "what was I doing?" I asked

"watching TV" she said. I looked at her like she was stupid and my father chuckled

 "well that explains it" he said and then kissed my mother on the temple before taking a seat at the head of the table. Lana giggled from beside me; I hadn't noticed when she came up to me.

 I turned to her with a fake gasp "are you laughing at me?!" I inquired dramatically and squinted my eyes accusingly at her. She grinned and toothy grin and nodded her head yes.

 "Oh that's it" I yelled and began to chase her around the house. Before she could get too far I had picked her up and began ticking her. Her giggles came out strained as she tried to laugh and breathe at the same time.

 "Surrender" I yelled, her eyes pooled with happy tears and she screamed uncle. I placed her down and watched her run away. I smiled after her; small tears filled my eyes that I quickly wiped away. She reminded me so much of my little sister.

 They had the same blonde hair, I wished that she could be here they would've been best friends. I heard footsteps behind me and quickly wiped away any remnants of my tears. Arms wrapped around me from behind, holding me to their chest. For a second I thought it was my father but when I looked down at the arms around my chest they were not my fathers.

 I could've sworn my heart stopped before starting back up and racing full speed you'd think I was on some type of steroid. We were quiet for a second before he spoke causing me to release the breath I hadn't realized I was holding.

 "I'm harry" he said his deep raspy voice spoke right next to my ear causing his warm breath to fan over my neck making goose bumps rise on my covered arms.

 "F-" I began but he cut me off.

 "Faye. I know" he chuckled in my ear causing me to involuntary shudder. I couldn't do anything but just stand her and melt into his embrace.

 "Faye!" My mother called to me. I heard her footsteps coming towards the hallway and quickly pulled myself from his arms and intercepted her. She eyed me for a second before walking away. I threw a quick glance back at harry to see him smirking at me. He winked causing heat to rise on my cheeks. I quickly looked away and walked into the dining room. Lana looked around with a confused expression.
