Chapter 5:
Harry and I were cuddled up on the couch watching the first harry potter movie when I heard keys jingling at the door. I quickly crawled out from under Harry's arm and seated myself on the other side a good two feet away from him. He chuckled at my effort towards space making me glare at him.
"Faye?" My mother called out as she stepped into the house.
"In here mom" I called out to her. No soon after my father and her came walking into the living room. My mother smiled warmly at harry as well as my father and they took their seats on the couch across from us.
"Ok let's get to it." My father said and looked at my mother giving her a small smile and nod in encouragement. My mother took a deep breath and locked eyes with me.
"Sweet heart there's something we haven't told you." My mother began, harry grabbed my hand lacing our fingers beneath the blanket giving them a gentle squeeze. It was now that I was happy he was with me. Whatever they were about to tell me, it seemed terrible. I kept my eyes on her as she continued to explain.
"You see, our family comes from a long line of pure bred" she said hesitantly. I cocked my head to the side and gave her a confused look.
"Ok I'm just going to come out and say it." She said and took a shaky breath. My eyes flashed to my father, he sat beside my mother watching me with a stern look. I turned my attention back to my mother as she began speaking.
"Hunny.... We're what humanity calls werewolves." She said and watched me with worried eyes. I felt my eye brows furrow in confusion as I searched her and my father's face for any sign letting me know this was a joke. I knew deep inside my head that they were telling the truth. At that moment the voice from before began to whisper in my mind.
I have been awakened, let us mate. Let him claim us as his, take what is rightfully ours. She purred through my mind.
"You're serious." I stated more than asked. My mother and father both nodded, it was then that I noticed harry was stiff beside me as he watched my reaction. I turned to him and searched his face for the answer but I didn't have to look at him to know.
"You knew didn't you" I whispered to him. His eyes flashed with regret and worry. I withdrew my hand from his and stood up putting more distance between us. I can't describe the betrayal I felt at that moment. To know that the man that supposedly loved you has been lying to you your entire time together. I shook my trying to clear my mind of what I was just told and the weird voice that kept whispering the same thing over and over again. Harry stood up to walk over to me but I held my palm up to him
"don't come near me" I sneered. Hurt replaced any emotion on his face. I was tempted to apologize but I couldn't, I was so hurt and angry over the fact that he had kept this a secret from me.
"So you're telling me that you transform into a giant wolf?" I asked my father.
He nodded "you were supposed to also but since you never shifted when you were supposed to we decided to keep it a secret so that you could live a normal life." He spoke softly. Guilt flooded through me, they had kept it a secret so I could be normal. My mother had small tears pooling in her eyes. I couldn't help but let my heart break when I looked at harry. I had hurt him when all he was doing was protecting me.
"So I'm not one?" I clarified.
"We're not sure. You were supposed to shift on your sixteenth birthday but you never did." He said with a shrug.
"Can you guys?" I asked hesitantly not sure if I wanted to see my parents change into giant wolves. My father nodded as did my mother.
"I would like to see" I said as I crossed my arms. They both stood up and motioned me outside. I followed them out with harry trailing behind me. They began undressing and I quickly stopped them.
