Summary:

(Universe where SloMoGuys is really popular)
Michael is an assistant for Gavin and Dan but when an experiment the two do goes wrong, Michael is scared for his beloved life's.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Gavin asked his long time best friend. Dan just shrugged and continued walking through the warehouse.
"Not sure if it's exactly the safest thing but the fans requested it and it'll be pretty interesting to see what happens," Dan told his friend, patting his shoulder reassuringly.
That didn't exactly calm Gavin's nerves as they continued to walk to the area they'd be doing the experiment at. The whole reason he was so nervous was because this time, he had to be the test dummy. Dan constantly told Gavin he was doing the experiment this time because Dan was still recovering from a concussion he had received from a similar, yet less dangerous experiment, but Gavin knew it was because he could run faster and he had a better chance to get away from the experiment.
Gavin wrung his hands out once again as two guards held the door open for them. Gavin and Dan smiled at them and continued walking to the courtyard.
Gavin scanned the familiar faces of the crew they hired over the years. He'd be lying if he said he didn't have a slight crush on one of them.
Michael was his name. He started working for them about a year ago, much to Gavin's pleasure. He was extremely skilled with technology, something both Gavin and Dan struggled with in the past. Gavin had always wanted to get closer to him and perhaps even ask him out but every time he tried he was interrupted by something.
"You ready, B?" Dan asked him. Gavin gulped but nodded anyways. He took his spot next to Dan as the camera started rolling.
They did their usual introduction, Gavin holding up the fragment grenade they would be detonating.
Dan set up the camera again so they had a good view of where the bomb would be detonating. Gavin wrung his hands out again and looked down at the bomb that still rested in his hand. It felt so heavy, heavier than a bomb should be.
Gavin heard footsteps approach him and he looked up to see Michael.
"You know how to set it, right?" Michael asked him. Gavin tried to hide the blush that rose to his cheeks when Michael talked to him.
"Yeah. You went over it pretty well," Gavin told him, squeezing the bomb in his hand.
"Scary, huh?" Michael said. Gavin looked up and nodded, feeling his heartbeat pick up.
"You've got ten seconds to get away from it. At the rate you run at, that should be plenty of time," Michael told him. Gavin smiled and nodded.
Michael smiled too and when Dan came over to tell Gavin he could started going down to the detonation site, Gavin caught a flash of worry cross in Michael's eyes. Gavin turned back to Michael and smiled at him.
"Hey, you said yourself I'll be fine," Gavin told him. Michael nodded and sighed.
Gavin smiled at him and was surprised when Michael stepped closer and pressed his lips to Gavin's cheek. Gavin felt the blush he tried so hard to hold back come up and he couldn't help but smile as Michael stepped away.
"Please... Be careful," Michael told him. Gavin nodded slowly and stumbled away from him, blushing all the more.
When Gavin made it to the detonation site, he silently hoped that nothing would go wrong. He had a feeling something was bound to go wrong and he hoped his instincts were wrong this time.
Of course, Gavin's instincts were always correct.
As he pulled the pin out and let the handle spring, Gavin felt a strange shudder go down his spine. He planted the grenade in its place and began sprinting to safety.
Something went wrong of course.
The grenade blew up way to early. Gavin had only counted three seconds by the time the bomb went off. He had only been able to run 3 meters away.
Gavin found that everything was in slow motion from then on. Which was funny since they were filming the slow motion of a bomb.
Gavin ended up getting blow forwards, making him fall face first. He heard a loud and almost overpowering pop in his right ear and found himself to be deaf in it after. He had a hard time breathing as well, wheezing every time he sucked in air. He felt numerous cuts and bruises all over his body and felt blood dripping down his head and into his eyes.
Everything slowly sped up and he found himself being gently lifted onto a gurney and taken into an ambulance. The paramedics were quick to start performing on him but he shortly blacked out after.

Seeing Gavin so hurt and... Well, dead really shook up Michael. He was finding it hard to believe that the person he had a crush on all these years was probably dead right now, all because Dan didn't want to put himself in danger. He was way better at those types of things than Gavin, since he had once been in the Royal army.
Michael found himself shaking as his fellow crew members led him into the hospital. It had been three days since the accident and everyone was worried for Gavin's life. Dan had only said that he was suffering from a few major injuries and he was put into a coma so he could recover in peace.
Michael remembered staying up that night he had heard the news, crying himself to sleep. He may only know Gavin as his boss, but his fondness for the idiotic Brit was enough to set him over the edge.
As they entered the room, Michael sucked in a breath as his eyes laid on his crush.
Gavin's face was bruised and beaten up. He had a bandage around his head that made his hair look messy. He had a neck brace on, a cast on his left arm and numerous stitches in different places on his arms and legs.
He looked horrible.
But Michael still found him incredibly attractive.
The crew surrounded him and began saying their own words to him, out of hopes he would hear them. Michael stood back, letting them do their thing. He knew if he tried to do anything they'd think even worse of him. They had known Gavin much longer than him, so therefore they were first to say their things to him.
Once they were all done and left the room, Michael took a seat next to Gavin and gently picked up his hand. He caressed his hand gently, feeling tears prick his eyes again.
"I wish it would've been me. Nobody would miss me if I was gone. Everyone misses you. I miss you," He paused for a moment to wipe the tears away.
"You know, I don't know if you can hear me right now, or if you'd want to. But, I've always had a crush on you. I remember watching your earlier videos and wondering what it would be like to stand next to you and hold your hand. Or kiss you. Or... Or hug you, at the very least," Michael took a deep breath. His voice beginning to crack as his throat constricted.
"I promised to myself that when you wake up, I would admit my feelings to you. At least then I'd know if I was being silly liking you all these years," Michael finished, wiping away the tears that continued to stream down his face.
But little to Michael's knowledge, Gavin had heard the entire thing, and that was the kick he needed to finally blink open his eyes to Michael himself.
So, that's what he did.
Michael eyes were closed as his tears continued to stream down his face. Gavin silently took in a harsh breath as he prepared for his next words.
"I like you too, Mi-cool," Gavin breathed gently.
Michael's eyes blinked open and they darted to Gavin's waiting gaze. Michael's eyes nearly bulged out of his head as he realized Gavin was awake.
And that he liked him back.
"You... You do?" Michael asked him gently.
"Ever since the day I met you, love," Gavin told him, smiling.
"H-how?" Michael asked slowly.
"How, what, love?" Gavin asked him.
"How do you like me? Or why?" Michael asked.
"Well, I think what you just said to me says it. You are loyal and selfless, meaning you will give yourself up for me. Nobody's ever done that for me. You're not annoying and obnoxious as the other members of the crew are. Meaning they are always trying to show their faces in every video and you are happy with whatever moments you get in a video. Not only that but you're incredibly handsome but you still have that small aspect of cuteness that I've failed to see on anyone before you," Gavin told him, gripping Michael's hand back.
Michael smiled and gripped his hand back. Gavin gently pulled his hand and made Michael stand over him.
The next moment was one of the most blissful moments of either of the twos lives. Michael pressed his lips against Gavin's, feeling him immediately begin kissing back.
And once again, everything was in slow motion for Gavin, but this time, he was glad the footage wouldn't be shot.

This one shot sucks and I apologize. I got a bunch more ideas for one shots that I'll be working on hopefully this weekend. I really hope you guys are enjoying these. Please leave some feedback on how I can improve or if you have something you'd like to see specifically. I'll write your ideas!
