Summary:
Gavin's birthday fic. Not much more to say!"Gavin... Time to wake up," I whispered in the most soothing voice I could make. Gavin twitched slightly, groaning and flipped onto his side.
"Alright, I guess it's time to wake him up the hard way," I smirked. I walked silently out to the living room, seeing all the guys from AH, Ray, Barbara, Meg, Joel, and Kerry standing in the room. I smirked and nodded, leading them into the bedroom where Gavin still slept at the moment, undisturbed.
Well, until now.
I counted down to three. Everyone got there air horns ready, snickering to themselves. I grabbed the rope that would rain balloons onto Gavin and I let out a tiny snicker as I said three.
Noise erupted from everyone and I pulled the rope, releasing the balloons. Gavin shot up and screamed, covering his ears. Everyone laughed hysterically and all shouted in unison.
"Happy birthday, Gavin!"
"I hate you all!" Gavin shouted back, however he was also laughing.
"Happy birthday, boi," I told him lovingly, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling him over to me. Gavin wrapped a shaky arm around me and hugged me back.
"I hate you most," He told me, punching my arm.
"How come?" I asked, pretending to be shocked.
"Cause you let them all in," Gavin smirked, glaring at everyone.
I shrugged and kissed his cheek, him smiling a genuine smile after. Everyone else slowly left the room after wishing Gavin their own happy birthdays to him.
Gavin sighed and played with a balloon that was in his lap. He smiled up at me and dragged me down, smashing his lips against mine.
"You know... You woke me up from a very sexy dream," Gavin purred. I smirked, kissing down his neck.
"I think you owe it to me, the birthday boy, to let me continue that dream right now," Gavin said, grabbing a lock of my hair as I sucked on his sweet spot.
"Of course, Gav, anything for you," I told him, nipping at his neck. "However, right now you need to get dressed. The others want to take you out to breakfast."
I jumped up off of Gavin, hearing him moan in complaint. I smirked, walking to the corner of the room and grabbing a carefully wrapped box.
This present was from Jack and Jeremy. It was honestly one of the coolest presents they could give him. When they told me about the idea, I actually worried my present wouldn't be as good.
"Here. Jack and Jeremy got you this," I told him, gesturing for him to open it.
Gavin smiled wide and excitedly ripped open the package. I smirked as he did so, watching him open the box.
"Oh my god! These are amazing!" He giggled excitedly.
I watched him pull out the t shirts. Each had a special saying that Gavin uttered at one point or another with its own special design. Jack and Jeremy created them themselves and they were going to be added to the RoosterTeeth's merchandise.
"Choose one to wear," I told him.
"I... I can't decide. They're all amazing," Gavin squealed happily. He eventually grabbed one and set the others down, immediately slipping the shirt over his head.
He smoothed it out gently and I handed him some shorts, watching him slip them on. He smiled again, wrapping his arms around me.
"If the rest of my day is gonna be half this amazing, then I'm pretty sure this'll be the best birthday I've ever had," Gavin said happily. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his cheek again.
I led Gavin out of the apartment leading him down the stairs. I slipped my hand into his after we got in my car and we began driving away to the restaurant.
Once we were there, I led Gavin in, immediately seeing our friends and joining them at the table. Gavin took his seat while everyone began complimenting him on his new shirt (most of the compliments coming from Jack and Jeremy of course). Gavin's smile never left his face the entire time we were there, so therefore, mine never left mine.
After we ate, we all went to work. Even though it was Gavin's birthday, and we celebrated it like it was a national holiday, it was still a Monday, which meant work.
Gavin was happy about it though, saying work wasn't all bad on his birthday, especially since no one expected him to get anything done.
We played all the games Gavin wanted to play for Let's Plays and we all had a pretty great time. Eventually, Geoff gave Gavin his birthday present from him, which was of course an incredibly expensive bottle of alcohol.
We continued on with our day, getting little to nothing done. Mostly we just screwed around and pulled pranks on other people. Ryan finally came and gave Gavin his present, which was an Xbox controller and some games Gavin hinted he wanted.
Finally, five o clock rolled around and Barbara burst into the room, telling us to go downstairs. I already knew what it was about, Gavin's birthday cake.
We followed her down the stairs, Gavin gripping my hand tightly. You could literally see him bouncing with excitement. Once we came into the room everyone was in, they all yelled happy birthday to him, making Gavin blush and smile.
We lite the candles and sang to him, throwing in our own renditions of the song since someone was recording it for an RT Life and we didn't want to be copyrighted.
Gavin blew out the candles and everyone clapped whilst Gavin blushed and smiled. I wrapped an arm around him and kissed him gently, making him burst into a happy giggle.
As everyone ate, I felt myself finally get nervous for the first time that day.
Well, here goes nothing...
"Hey, everyone, shut the fuck up for a second," I called out. Everyone snickered but eventually became quiet.
"Gavin, we've known each other for a long time, haven't we?" I asked Gavin.
"I'd say yes," Gavin told me, smiling up at me.
"Well, this year for your birthday, I was having trouble finding the perfect gift for you. And I mean, everyone gave you gifts that I certainly couldn't top. So I got thinking, what's the perfect present I can give to Gavin that'll top everyone else's presents," I started, Gavin giggling slightly.
"Well, I eventually came to a conclusion. It was one that required a lot of thought but I eventually chose the best choice for you... And us," I said.
I slowly grabbed the small box from my pocket and lowered myself onto my knee in front of Gavin. He instantly gasped and let out a tiny squeal of happiness.
"So, Gavin, not only will this day be your birthday, but it'll also be the day I propose to you. And the day that I hope you say yes to my proposal," I told him. I popped open the box and revealed the shiny golden ring.
"So, Gavin, will you marry me?" I asked him.
"Of course I will, Mi-cool!" He squealed happily, dashing forward and tackling me in a hug.
I fell back, clutching the ring box tightly. I wrapped an arm around Gavin, smashing our lips together. Everyone cheered and clapped for us, however at the moment, we were in our own little world.
Once we pulled apart, I slipped the ring onto Gavin's finger. I silently let out a breath of relief to see that it fit. Gavin was instantly bombarded by the girls, all of them gawking over his ring that now sat on his finger.
Eventually, the party for Gavin wound down and Gavin and I left for our apartment. Gavin would constantly stop and look at his ring and on the entire ride back, he stared at it, smiling.
Once we got into our apartment, Gavin stood in the middle of the room, looking at me expectantly. I stretched and threw the keys onto the counter, looking back at him.
"What?" I asked, smirking.
"You know what would make this the best present ever?" Gavin asked me.
"What?" I asked him.
"If you let me finish that dream," Gavin smirked, licking his lips suggestively.
"That, I can do," I told him, picking him up bridal style and hearing him giggle.
"Oh yeah, Gav?" I started again.
"Yeah?" He asked me, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.
"Happy birthday, fiancé."
