I'm going to have to make another sucky chapter. Why? I'm trying to upload my stories regularly, within a week's time. I haven't updated this one in 6 days. So this is going to be quite rushed.

...

Nothing big was going on, so Hitomi stayed in Suna. She'd bother Gaara all the time, but he enjoyed her company.

They received weird and hatred filled looks from the villagers. Looks of pity were thrown towards Hitomi. The two would just glare back. A couple of times, Gaara accidentally let loose his sand. Hitomi had to use her Earth style to stop it from killing anyone.

A few weeks passed. The two grew more fond of each other. They had become more than close friends. Gaara knew this, but Hitomi seemed oblivious.

She still considered him a very close friend.

This bothered him. He shrugged it off and continued with life, hoping he won't have to deal with him.

It ate at him day and night. He wanted to know what they were. What he meant to her.

He could no longer contain his curiosity, and when he finally decided to find out, there just so happened to be an upcoming festival.

"Oh Kami..." Gaara muttered to himself. This was getting out of hand. Why was Gaara so attracted to her? His cheeks flamed.

"Gaara. Your cheeks are red again. It looks like your hair," Hitomi laughed. "Uh-Oh...yeah..." Gaara's face grew redder.

"Hitomi."

"Hm?" She turned to look at him. "What do-"

Gaara didn't get to finish his sentence. His siblings appeared in front of them. Gaara became nicer to his siblings. Hitomi taught him to be friendlier. Now their bond was repaired and his siblings were finally comfortable around him. Sort of.

"Gaara!"

"Temari."

"Hey little bro!"

"Kankuro."

Yeah...his greetings weren't too good...

"Hey~ Nii-chan~ You heard about the big festival coming up?" Temari sang.

Both of them had mischievous looks. They were planning something.

I couldn't stand not knowing what they were planning, so I spoke up.

"What are you guys planning?" "Planning? Us? We're not planning anything," Kankuro lied.

"You two are horrible at lying," Gaara said, backing me up.

"Eh? Oh, fine." Temari and Kankuro put their hands up in defeat.

"Since the festival's coming up and you guys are so close, we were thinking you two could go together!"

"Uh, sure but-" I started. Temari cut me off. "As a couple? Great! We're gonna have to dress you guys up!" She grabbed my hand and started dragging me towards their house.

"But you didn't let me FINISHHH!" I screamed, struggling against Temari's iron grip.

Man, that girl was strong.

"First up is makeup!" Temari cheerfully said.

"Makeup? What's that?"

"You don't know what makeup is?" "No..." "Hm...Woah, I can see that. Your face is so...how to say it...doll-like!"

"Uh...really?" I blushed, not sure whether to take it as a compliment or not.
