A/N: THIS PART OF THE STORY MAKES NO SENSE I AM CRYING

In a previous version of this story, Hitomi had a lot more interaction with Sasuke, so this part actually made a bit of sense but in this version she barely knows him at all so like???

I don't know, man, I wanna rewrite this story from scratch boo hoo

Story Start~

When I had recovered from the millionth injury I received, I had a dream.

I was standing in front of Sasuke, just a few feet away from him.

I tried stepping forward and reaching out to him, but my dream self wouldn't move.

Sasuke looked so different.

Besides being taller with a different outfit, his eyes had changed.

Instead of the mesmerizing(A/N: What the heck, Hitomi? XD) onyx eyes I had learned to love, they were replaced with hatred filled, dull black eyes.

He didn't even seem to react when he saw me.

"Kagami."

His voice was also different. He stared me down, eyes cold and emotionless.

"It's nice that we're seeing each other after so long."

I swallowed, wanting to throw myself at him and cry. But I knew I couldn't do that.

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, fighting to fall freely.

"S-Sasuke," I whispered. "What happened to you?"

He didn't reply.

The dream disappeared, then reappeared, the scene the same, yet different, if you know what I meant.

The trees were broken and burning, the grass torn and scattered. My dream self was sprawled on the ground, Sasuke standing in front of her, a katana in his hands.

I felt a dull pain, even in my sleep, in my chest.

"You aren't the Sasuke I remember," I said, trying to make my voice firm. I didn't want my voice cracking, showing this...other Sasuke a sign of weakness.

He just stared at me.

"Goodbye."
