Our First Date

Hey you guys! Here is Chapter 3. I apologize for the long wait. Something came up and I was unable to write for a couple days. But now I'm back and I want to say thank you to all my faithful readers who didn't give up on this story. I promise the next update won't take as long. Hope you enjoy!

Ch.3- Our First Date

 I woke up the next morning with a killer headache and a rat's nest of hair. I was thinking of canceling the date tonight but my wolf stopped me.

"You promised you would give our mate a chance," she begged. I let out a loud sigh, knowing she would never forgive me if I canceled the date,

"Okay fine, I'll go," I promised her before getting out of bed. Luckily Alpha Nate had some pack business to attend to and wouldn't be here all day. I quickly did my duties around the pack house before going to the mall to find something to wear. As a pack slave, I didn't get any money so I had to use some of the money I had saved up when I escaped from the rogues.

 I was walking to the mall when I heard my name being called. I turned around to find my only friend, Sky Mason, walking towards me.

"OMG girl how are you! I haven't seen you in weeks. The Alpha finally let you out," she asked, as she hugged me tightly. Sky was the only one who I could talk to in the pack. She was also the only one who knew what the Alpha did to me and what really happened to my old pack. We told each other everything and if it wasn't for her friendship, I don't know how I would have survived in this pack.

"Yeah, he's away on pack business so I figured I would take advantage of his absence and go shopping," I answered.

"You? Shopping? Last time I suggested a shopping spree, you tried to kill me. I had to literally drag you to the mall," she said, shaking her head at the memory. Okay so maybe I wasn't a shopaholic like her, but that didn't meet I couldn't buy something every once in a while!

"Okay so maybe I have plans tonight," I started nervously.

"Plans? What are you talking about," she asked, suddenly curious.

"I'm going out," I said quickly.

"Like on a date?"

I nodded.

"OMG You got a date!" she squealed, making me wince at her high-pitched voice. "With who? Where? Tonight? Is he cute? It is a he right- I mean you're not gay or anything right?"

"No I'm not gay! Will you stop rambling so I can tell you what happened?" I snapped, grabbing her arm to stop her jumping around.

"Okay. Let's go into the café so we can talk. Tell me everything," she replied as she pulled me into the store. We brought breakfast as I spent the next half hour telling her about meeting my mate and our date deal. When I was finally done, Sky had a huge grin on her face.

"OMG!" she cried, her voice making me wince again. "I can't believe the Alpha's son is your mate. You are so lucky. He is freaky sexy!  I can't believe you're going to be my future Luna!"

"Ugh- don't remind me. I'm not even sure I want to be his mate- much less the Luna."

"Are you kidding me? Any girl would kill to be in your position- me included. Maybe there's a reason you guys are mates. You shouldn't throw that away."

"I know, I know. My wolf keeps saying the same thing. I guess I'm just not ready for the whole mate thing. But I am excited about our date."

"When is it?"
