Chapter 19

Tyrone P.O.V

I awake to the sound of my phone ringing I look at the screen Heavenly Care Emergency that's the hospital why would they be calling I slide the green phone answering the call. "Hello." I say still groggy from sleep. "Hi Mr. Brody we have a patient being treated in ICU she gave us your name before she fell into a coma a Staci, Staci Valentine do you know her. At the sound of Staci name I immediately fell into shock everything around me seem to be moving in slow motion as I took the hour drive to the hospital in silence. The receptionist wouldn't tell me to much information about Staci condition except for they had contacted her mom as well. This would be my first time meeting Ms. Valentine. I did not know what was in stored for me but I knew I didn't care because it had to deal with the girl I think I was in love with.

I approach the ICU where I see the beautiful girl I love who usually look so strong look so fragile I look through the glass where I see her mother tear stricken face turn stern when she sees me. I watch as she stood up straighten out her clothes which looked perfect to me and walked towards me. I stepped back while she took in my appearance I extended my hand "Tyrone Brody I'm Staci boyfriend is nice to meet you Ms. Valentine even though I would've liked if it would've been on lighter terms." I said with a sad smile. How old are you was all she replied 18 I said staring at Staci In the room. The mother looked at her daughter I guess deciding she would interrogate me later she said come in.

I enter into Staci room as quiet as possible like if for some reason if I might make too much noise she would wake up. Knowing that I should want her to wake up because being in a coma its not a good thing but watching her lay there besides the bruises and the swelling of her face she looked peaceful and I was afraid when she woke up she was going have to feel all that pain that the bruises was causing her. I sat in the seat where Ms.Valentine had been sitting she looked at me than at Staci and said I'll give y'all sometime alone before she walked out pulling the door close. I grabbed Staci hand and started to apologize for everything I knew this was my fault. If i hadn't had been so stuborn Staci would be here today perfectly healthy and we would just be waking up in eachother arms and she would look up at me and smiled. I look up and start to pray I knew I had to do something and that was the only thing I could do. As soon as i said amen the doctor came in check Staci chart and cleared his throat to speak. " Hi Ms. Valentine im Staci doctor Dr. Pierce and I have some news about the conditions she in.' He looked towards me and then back at Ms. Valentine " This type of information is usualy for family only but if you want him to know then. Ms. Valentine shook her head he is my daughter boyfriend and apprently she been with him more then me these past couple of days she said taking my hand into her squeezing it she smiled then look towards the doctor. " Well it seems that she has one broken rib and some pressure to her skull which is causing her to be in the coma state. She has also been raped we are running some test now to see if she have any diseases and we will have to take her into surgery right away to relieve some pressure off her skull but we need your permission first he said handing Ms. Valentine some forms to fill out she took them shakingly and start to scriblble her name at the botton before running to her daughter side crying. I just stood there looking at Staci raped broken rib coma this was all my fault I walked out her room and ran to an abandon room in the hospitial. I couldn't take it anymore I started punching the walls throwing chairs screaming whyyy. I was about to throw the last chair when somebody caught my arm i turn around ready to punch anybody when I saw Monty and my sister Kedera. " What are y'all doing here." i said sounding real ungrateful. " Its nice to see you too brother even though you acting like the hulk throwing crap around." tears start to enter my eyes I sat down on the only chair standing and started to sob I could feel my body shaking from all the emotion that was in me I cried for like 5 minutes with my sister confronting me until I got the courage to speak. " How y'all knew I was here." i said wiping my face " Your neighbors told us he heard through the wall hospital and something about Staci and he decided you might was going to need us." i laughed thinking about my nosey neighbor Rico but i figured today i was thankful of it I really needed my sis and bro in law today. Ok I said thanx for coming to give me support I'm going to go see if they took Staci to surgery and check on her mom i said getting to my feet.
