Chapter 20

Ms Valentine P.O.V

I stood by my daughter side as they wheeled her into surgery. This is how far as you can go said the doctor closing the door. I started walking back towards the waiting room where I saw Tyrone sitting when I started to approach he stood up until I took my seat. I looked at him seeing how handsome he was my daughter always had a good taste I said smiling to myself. He looked up at that moment and quickly changed my expression it would be kinda weird if he though I was checking him out. " So they took her to surgery." he said sounding like he been crying more then me. "Yes it should go good they are some risks but im praying for the best." he nodded and response then turn his stare back towards the floor. That's when I got an idea I stood up " Mr. Brody how about you and me go down to the hospitial and pray for Staci then go get a coffee from the cafeteria I have a feeling it's going be a long day. He smiled and we headed to the elevator I think I was going like this young man for my daughter.

Nickiee P.O.V

I been home for a week now. Christmas break was good while it last I prefer Connectticut til Canada anyday but I wasn't going tell Jay that. I laid in my bed on chill mode looking at all the pictures we took over the break. Smiling at everyone we had good times and I love Jay family but me and Jay been distance every since we came back. I mean I know we had an agrument but we always have those and bounce right back but not this time every since he came back that day from Staci house he been different. I mean when I called him he act like his usal cocky self but now he was more quiet and stubborn then usual I hope it was just a phase. I heard a knock at my window pulling me away from my thoughts I turned around seeing Jay holding a bag of Andys with a huge grin on his face I laughed letting him in. " What are you doing you haven't climb up to my window in awhile and with food." I said placing a kiss on his cheek. " I know I felt I should today since it is a special day and a kiss on my cheek really what are you my mother." He said grabbing me pulling me into a deep passionate kiss when he let go I could barely breathe " Umm I like that welcome but what is this special occasion." I am no longer one of those unemployer dudes that you see walking down the halls of Waterville Highschool I am employeed at Andys cheese fries, burgers, chilli dogs, and fresh squeeze lemonade at your command." he said laying the food out on my floor then he put down two decorative pillow "Chinese style baby care to enjoy me." I bust out laughing his mode certainly had changed and I was liking it especially when it involved food. We devour the food talking about anything and everything. "Want to take a drive it's something I been meaning to show you but I wanted to make sure I was really in love with you first." "Uh sure of course I would Jay." Ok but you have to wear a blindfold its a sacared place are you ok with that I know you don't like having your eyes covered in public." I nodded my head and before I knew it i was in Jay car on the way to his sacared place I was bouncing my leg up and down from agigtation, nervousness, and happiness. When we finally came to a stop after what seem like hours he came around and open my door helping me out guiding me to a clear spot and having me seat on something soft. " You can remove your blindfold now." I took off my blindfold clearly awe shrucken by the breath taking view of the world below us I looked up at him and he was staring down at me with a smile on his face. All he wore was a tanktop because apprently the soft thing I was seating on was his flannel button down shirt he sat down pulling me close to his chest and we sat there in silence with only the sound of his heartbeat in my ear when his phone rung. " Dangit, I let it go to voicemail." " No no you better answer it might be important." I said more assuring myself then him he glance down at the caller I.D " Ms Valentine its Staci Mom um hello she been what ok im coming I be there I just have to tell my aunt." he said before hanging up the phone we have to go Staci in trouble I looked up at the view it could've been a good romantic night for me and Jay but there Staci go again ruining things. I walked slowly to the car "Come On Nickiee why you walking so slow forget putting the blindfold back on we have to go now." While we was in the car Jay called his aunt and explained about Staci being in the hospitial I called my mom and told her I had to go with Jay to Canada because he needed my support. The real reason I was going was because Jay didn't head towards my way to take me home and I didn't think I could bear a night knowing he was around Staci and I want nowhere close by bitchy I know but shit I was jealous; we sat in silence. Occasionally I would hear Jay sniffle but he wouldn't tell me what happened to Staci so I guess I was just going have to figure out what happen when I got there I stared out the window at the trees passing by. This was going be a long weekend I could feel it already.
