You smiled down at Harry as he peacefully slept on your duvet. His little hands curled under themselves as his body also found itself curled. "You're the cutest little thing..." you mumbled at the Neko, beginning to stroke his hair softly. "And there's no way I'm giving you up."

.___.

Your fingers drummed against the steering wheel as you squinted your eyes past the windscreen.

Not even kidding, it was sunny twenty minutes ago and now it's pissing down rain. The windscreen wipers weren't seeming to do you justice and you were pretty antsy to get home.

Just coming back from your weekly grocery shop, you had a trunk full of plastic bags and weren't to keen on carrying them inside.

You'll just park in the garage. It'll be easier that way.

And once you put all the bags in the kitchen, you'll take yourself a packet of chips and hide under your blankets; just to stare out the window from the window seat you had situated across the room. To sit cuddled in warmth and watch pouring rain was a hobby of yours.

And being in England, it happened quite frequently.

Your GPS read that you had entered your street which you were thankful for. Coming close to your home, you pressed your garage door and hoped it opened as you pulled in.

Which to your success, it did.

Your car dripped rain from the exterior and you finally found yourself to see clearly. "Alright," you mumbled undoing your seatbelt and stepping into the lighted undercover area, "groceries."

The roof was getting pounded by rain, and you smiled at the sound emitting. Opening the trunk, you took a look at your bags of groceries before huffing.

Great... looks like multiple trips for you.

A loud thunder strike ripped through the sky and you flinched back. But that wasn't the only sound to evoke.

A scream from the garage had you stiffened as you looked around for the mystery being.

Somebody was in here with you.

Whimpering at the thought, you took a metal bar from the back of your car and looked around. Hopefully the person here isn't a mass murderer out for their next victim. The thought had a jolt of fear run through you as movement caught your eye.

You looked over next to wooden shelves with boxes crammed in the corner, to see a black blanket moving around the cardboard. Your heart beat picked up as you cleared your throat.

"H-hello?" The blanket stopped moving as you inhaled quietly. It began to pull back and you stepped back, lifting the bar beside your head; ready for the intruder.

But the head that poked out was one that you were not expecting. It was a boy.

No.

His ears popped out after him for you to blink back.

A Neko? What was a Neko doing in your garage?

His emerald eyes pierced up into yours, his just as scared as yours were.

A thunder struck again and he cried out, covering his face. With a profuse blink of your eyes, you lowered your metal bar.

He wasn't going to hurt you. Far from it. This little Neko was lost and scared, and you -a complete stranger- holding a metal bar in a threatening way didn't help.

So with a swallow of your saliva, and fear, you stepped forward to kneel hesitantly in front of the Neko.

"H-hey," you breathed, not being able to talk any louder, "it's ok." Taking a light hold of the blanket, the Neko froze as you pulled it away from him.

As soon as his face was exposed, he cried out and scrambled away from you; knocking over boxes and books off the wooden shelves.

"No, no!" You tried to calm him. "You're ok! I'm not going to hurt you." His tail caught between two boxes and his hyperventilated breaths became prominent. "Hey, hey." You cooed squatting beside him.

He shook his head backing away from you until he was pressed to a wall.

"There's no need to be scared of me. I'm not going to hurt you." He warily watched your hands reach over and free his tail from its hold. Instantly wrapping it around him, he curled up submissively as you slowly reached a hand out. "You're safe. You're safe in here."

Pulling your hand out far enough, you watched as the Neko sniffled back and looked at you. Offering a faint smile, you slowly sat near him with crossed legs.

"Hey." You smiled at the hybrid boy. "You're a cute thing aren't you," your eyes look across him to read his collar, "Harry." He perked up at the mention of his name.

Somebody must have owned him. Who, you didn't know. But what you did know was two things. He was domestically trained. And he was scared of thunder storms.

"Hi Harry." You waved as he slowly leant over and smelt your hand. "How did you get in here?" He looked up with wary yet curious eyes. "Did you get lost in the storm?"

You knew he wasn't going to answer you. But what you did know was that the more you talked calmly, the more relaxed he became.

"When was the last time you ate huh? Mustn't of been long ago right?" He crept closer to hear the sounds of your voice clearer. He liked it. It was different compared to his owners. "Can I touch you? Can I pat you Harry?"

Your fingers brushed over his damp hair to feel its softness underneath you. You smiled as you began to pat his head, and Harry let you.

Being calmed and approachable had calmed Harry a bit, and he was gradually becoming relaxed around you.

His hand ghosted over your foot as you rubbed behind his ear. His eyes fluttered momentarily at the bliss as you refrained a laugh. Your friends Neko love it when you rubbed his ears; so it was only a good guess that Harry did as well.

The thunder had caught you both off guard again as it crashed, Harry lunging into you subconsciously.

His arms clung around your torso as he cried into your chest. Your instincts kicked in.

"Hey, hey. It's ok Harry. I've got you." Stroking his hair and rubbing his back, you tightened your hold around him while beginning to feel his wet clothes seep into yours. "How about some food and warm clothes hey? Maybe that'll help."

So standing up with the small Neko in your arms, you picked out the bag you wanted from the car and left. You'll come back for the rest later.

Turning off the garage light, Harry clutched tighter onto you as you walked through the house.

"Let's get you upstairs and find you some clothes." Harry hid his face away in your neck as you came through your hallway and into your room.

Turning that light on, you put your plastic bag down along with Harry, onto the edge of the bed.

Though Harry wouldn't let go of you. "Harry. You'll be ok. I'm not going too far." He whimpered at you as his hands reached out for you. It tugged at your heart to see him this way. And all you wanted to do was pull him into your arms and cuddle him to death.

Hesitantly prying him away, he stepped away and in front of your clothing draws to hear a thump. Arms wrapped around you leg and you looked down to see Harry wrapped around you.

Your heart melted.

"I-in a second." You whispered to the whimpering Neko as you took out your baggiest clothes, with a towel to dry off- to give to Harry. "Here you are." You put the clothes on the bed and pulled Harry onto the bed.

Your fingers pushed hair out of his face before you looked down. You have changed a Neko before, just not a Neko you've just met.

With a soft smile and a move of yours hands, you tugged at his wet shirt. "Arms up."
