"Who's this?" Wendell answered the phone, his heavy accent taking over. "Hello"

"Ya know who this is, quit playin. Listen, I got somethin ya gon want ta' hear. And trust, its not good" Kacy passed the phone to Moesha and she smiled "Hey daddy"

"Moesha? Baby, that's you?"

"Yes daddy" she giggled.

"Oh thank god. Listen, where are you? I'm coming to get you"

"I don't wanna leave daddy. I like it here. The people are my friends and they nice to me"

Hearing his daughter speak of how her kidnappers are nice to get confused Wendell "What? Nice? Baby, they're bad people. Don't you wanna come home to me, momma and uncle Akoni?"

"You and momma yes, but not uncle Akoni" Moesha gave a thumbs up to Kacy and he gave one back.

"Why not? He's nicer then those people who took you from us. Moesha, where are you?"

"Daddy, uncle Akoni put me in the house alone and say if I don't stay, he gon hurt you so I stayed. And these nice and pretty girls find me and made me pancakes and daddy, uncle Akoni kill them" that made Moesha sniffle "Why'd he kill them daddy? You say nice people don't die, but they were nice. So why'd they die?"

"Did you say uncle Akoni left you alone? And threatened you to stay or he'd hurt me?" That seemed to be the only thing Wendell heard. "Hello, Moesha?"

"Yes daddy?"

Wendell sighed "Is that what you said?"

"Yes daddy, he only nice when you're with me. But when its us alone, he's mean. Very mean. I don't wanna come back if he's there"

The conversation continued and just like Kacy practiced with her for the passed few days, Moesha told her father everything Akoni said and did. He only believed it because it came from his daughter and just like Kacy thought, that'd be the only way he believed her.

When Moesha passed Kacy back the phone, he had to clear his throat to sound more serious "Do you understand what I tried ta' tell ya last time ? Ya daughters in good hands" Kacy stood up and walked out, leaving Moesha and baby Morgan together.

"That is, unless you choose to not tell me what I want ta' know" Of course, Kacy had no intentions on hurting Moesha. He had too much of a bond with her.

"What you need to know?"

Already knowing Moesha would tell where Wendell slept, Kacy asked for the last piece of the puzzle.

"Where Akoni live at"

****

"You got it?" Ed asked. Kacy nodded and passed the address to him. It held the address of Akoni on it. "When we gon hit him up?"

"Never nigga" Kacy laughed. "Knowing Wendell, he gave me the address but probably telling Akoni about it so he stackin up on guns and shit. That won't be a good idea to hit up his place"

Morgan nodded and held baby Morgan to his chest "He right. Best bet is to hold off till that all white party"

"When we done with that shit, its gon be red and white though. Promise that " Kacy mumbled.

Across town, later that night ,Wendell showed up to Akoni's house. The men took a seat at the dining room table and Wendell watches as Akoni poured two shots of white rum. Everything his daughter had told him earlier that day played over and over in his mind. His own brother, threatening his daughter ... That thought didn't sit right with him at all.

Wendell and Akoni both downed the shot quickly "So what brings you by?" He spoke in his Jamaican accent. "Its too late for personal shit so it must be business"

"Nah, this definitely personal. I spoke with Moesha earlier "

"Yea? What'd she say?" Akoni didn't show one bit of emotion.

"A bunch of shit I ain't wanna believe"

"Like what?" Akoni chuckled "What you beating around the bush for?"

In one quick motion, Wendell pulled out his gun and set it on the table with the front facing his brother. The gun laid flat on the table and his finger sat on the trigger.

Akoni's eyes looked down at the gun then back at his brother "This what we doing?" He nodded and licked his lips, pulling out his gun and setting it flat on the table with his finger on the trigger as well. "Maybe we should talk things out"

"What is there to say?" From this moment on, there was nothing to talk about. Everything started to click together and things finally made sense to Wendell.

"Maybe you're right"

Wendell raised his gun and shot his brother in the chest at the same time Akoni fired and shot his brother in the neck. Both chairs flew back and their bodies laid on either side of the table.

Wendell held his neck tightly as the blood continued to spill between his fingers. A dark shadow hovered over his body and when he looked up, he looked in the eyes of the devil.

Akoni stood over him with a smirk on his face. Opening up his button down shirt, he revealed to Wendell the bullet proof vest he wore. "You're older but still had so much to learn. Can't believe pops left everything to you, look at you" he laughed and stepped over his brother as he died on the dining room floor. "Time to go kill that daughter and wife of yours"

He grabbed his coat and paused before he opened the door "Oh wait, you still do think that's your daughter huh? Guess Jess was keeping secrets too"

Whistling to himself as he exited his home, Akoni smiled to himself.
