Karma looked over her appearance in the mirror and smiled, happy with what she saw. It was Friday night and with the long and stressful week her and Kacy have had, plus not one to spend together, they thought it'd be a good idea go out together for ole time sake.
They didn't have a set destination but knew they'd make tonight a great one, considering the fact that Kacy would be gone and busy for awhile with trying to figure out what's going on with Jess and all that.
Ash and Kat agreed to watch Moesha for the night and Kacy was just getting back from dropping her off. When he walked into the room, the smell of perfume filled his nose. The same perfume Karma always uses.
"Ya ready mama?" He asked, kissing her cheek and holding her as they looked at each other through the mirror. She nodded and smiled at him. "Ya excited bout tonight?"
"Very. It seemed like forever since we've had some alone time"
"I feel ya" his hands went down to her stomach "How ya feeling?"
"Pretty good. I'm not used to eating all healthy though but I'm getting there"
"That's good, come on"
He grabbed her hand and the two walked outside towards the car. "You know where we going yet?"
"No idea" he smirked. She knew not to take him for his word. Knowing Kacy, he had something special up his sleeve. Without another word, Karma got in the car and Kacy pulled out the lot. "Tonight aint no talking bout business iight? Its bout us and only us"
"Gotcha" she smiled. Within the next hour or so, they pulled up to a small park. "Kace"
"Don't ask, come on" they exited the car and Kacy grabbed Karmas hand. He led her over to a simple cloth that was laid out on the ground with a vase with a single rose inside. A picnic basket was on the blanket and soft music was coming from the radio that sat beside the vase.
Karma smiled as she sat on the blanket. She reached for the basket but Kacy slapped her hand away. "I got this mama"
She laughed "ok, sorry"
Kacy grabbed and opened the basket. He pulled out seafood salad first, one of Karmas favorite, a huge bottle of mountain dew and rocky road ice cream.
"Babe, I love this. All of it, but the ice cream is melted"
He smirked and pulled out two straws "Drink it up"
Karma laughed loudly as Kacy passes her the seafood salad "So how have ya been? I know we aint been chilling like we used too. Honestly, I miss that shit. I miss ya sexy ass"
"I miss you too baby. And I've been good, just thinking about our baby" just those words leaving her mouth made her smile "I hope she's healthy, you know. I hope she makes it through this"
"I do too, and she will. Long as we think positive, she gon make it. Just keep doin what ya doin. Eat healthy, do ya lil walking thing every morning and don't stress.. Y'all gon be good"
"What about you papa? How you been?"
"Straight. Long as I got ya by my side, I'm always good" he shrugged like it was nothing but to Karma, it was everything. "Ya still love me, right?"
"Why wouldn't I? You've been here through everything. I believe we were made for each other"
"Yea?" He asked. Karma nodded "So if I asked ya ta' marry me again, wedding and all, would ya agree ta' start ova with me?"
"Start over for what? What we have is amazing Kace. " she smiled.
"Yes or no?"
"Of course I'd start over with you"
