"Glad y'all could finally join us" Ed laughed when Karma and Kacy walked in, hand in hand. From the looks of things, Karma was feeling a lot better. Her stress levels were down and her skin was glowing.
Kacy couldn't wipe the smile from his face. He had to admit, Karma knew how to make him feel good without even doing much.
Kacy flicked him off and sat on the couch, pulling Karma down on his lap "So what's all this?" Karma asked.
"If y'all wasn't fucking, y'all would know" Chris mumbled. Kacy looked in his direction and slightly pushed Karma, getting her from his lap.
The mood in the room was light and jokey but from the tone of Chris voice, he wasn't joking. He was really in his feelings about what he heard earlier and he still was.
"What was that?" Kacy asked, standing up. Chris looked over in his direction and laughed "The fuck ya l-"
"Babe, relax. Have a seat" Karma grabbed his hand, pulling him back "He didn't mean it"
"Nah, I did" Chris laughed. "But I'm just gonna shut up"
"Yea, ya do that" Kacy sat down, his eyes still on Chris. Karma sat on his lap again "So what's all this?" Kacy looked at Chris, waiting for him to say something else but he didn't.
"I bought this place since its close to the condo. The first chance we get to get Stacy out, we will. That should be soon though, Joe got a lil side piece across town" Ed informed.
"Do you know how long he's had this side piece?" Karma asked.
"Honest, I'd say about a few months" he answered truthfully. Karma nodded, letting it sink in that the man her mom loved and devoted her life to was cheating on her.
She shook off the thoughts and stood up, going to find an empty room. Joe was really starting to irritate her and even though she knew what was going on in her head wasn't right, she was going through with it.
So when it was late, around 4am, and everyone was asleep, Karma pulled on all black and grabbed her gun. Walking into the living room, Kat and Ash stood by the front door in black also.
"What y'all doing?" Karma asked.
"Going with you."
"You're not going through this by yourself " Kat smiled "Now come on before they wake up"
Going across the street, a few houses down is where the condo was. Ash picked the lock and the girls walked in slowly, closing the door behind them.
The plan was for the girls to stay together, instead of breaking up so the first place they went was to the master bedroom. Stacy laid in the bed, asleep, alone.
While Karma went to get her mom up, Ash and Kat checked the room for Joe. "Ma, wake up" Karma whispered. Stacy's eyes popped open "Its me, Karma"
"I know baby, what you doing here?"
"We came to get you, come on"
Stacy hopped up out the bed, dressed in jeans and a shirt "I was planning on leaving anyway. Joe's out with his side piece" Stacy rolled her eyes "I might have dementia but I'm not stupid"
Karma smiled and the girls all walked towards the front door. Ash opened it, just as Joe reached for the door knob. Before Joe could even get a word out, Ash sent a blow right to his face and they all turned and followed Stacy to the back door.
Joe held his face for a split second before chasing them all outside and towards the front of the house. Karma looked back and fired off a shot, missing. "Dammit" she cursed. She fired off another shot, hitting Joe in his leg.
