CH5: Five Years of Development

 CHAPTER 5:

Five Years of Development

It’s been 5 years already since the incident at the Golden Road Town happened. The weather is nice, a bit bright and sunny good for drying up laundry. As Lily hangs some clothes at the clothesline a boy keeps running towards her. He runs so fast passing through the small hill where Lily is that he suddenly jumps in front with open arms and yelled out loud “Mother!!”

“Len?!” Lily was so shock that she unconsciously catch the boy in mid air. The boy’s hair has a golden sun color and his eyes are also bright blue like the sky which both inherited from his mother. He has a cheerful face and his hair is a bit tide up at the back. His clothes are simple white shirt matching up with black shorts with yellow linings. He keeps swinging his feet as Lily carries him facing each other. She pitches his cheeks and kisses his forehead “I told you to behave properly Len. Mommy will be done with the laundry in a couple of minutes.”

“But I want to play already.” Len starts pouting his mouth as he whines with his mother. “I can’t wait anymore; you’re taking like forever doing the laundry!” He widens his arms as he describes the word forever.

“Patience my child this is mother’s work to do laundries of other people’s clothes.” Lily grabs her basket of laundry as she carries Len at her left side using her left hand.

“Mother can you sing that song again?” Len’s eyes suddenly sparkled as he requests his favorite song to his mother. Lily on the other hand smiled and starts singing the song she usually sings;

Separated by the wheel of fate I keep pressing on,

As I look at my back of regrets I tried to hold on.

I don’t want you to loose hope,

Just remember that I’m here for you.

 

Be brave and wait,

I’ll come rescue you to the darkness that’s trying to cling on you.

Keep smiling my dear,

Both of us wants to have a happy ending~

 

Just wait and see,

One day I’ll reach your hand from your slumber,

And when that time comes,

We will be together now and forever.

While a breeze of cold air surrounded Len he then fell asleep to his mother’s lap. Lily rubs his son’s head and whispered in his ears “Be brave my son as you’ll face great challenges soon.” She continues to sing as she moves forward towards east.

A million miles away from where they are is the main castle of the Draconic Faith. It is so huge yet a bit scary to look at from a distance. Inside the chambers to the lowest grounds of the palace where sun cannot reach, a small girl lives staring blankly at the ceiling. She has a color golden hair too but a bit dusty due to improper cleaning of body. Her eyes are also bright blue color but no one can appreciate her appearance as she was hidden in public. She just reads a lot of books that are brought to her by her personal servant who keeps looking after her since she was a baby. There are two things that she is allowed to do firstly is studying how to perform both dancing and singing and second is reading books for additional knowledge through her brain.
