CH1: Sacrifice

CHAPTER 1:

Sacrifice

"Once upon a time dragons frighten humans by attacking cities and neighboring towns leaving nothing behind. 100 years have passed that humans feared to even go outside of their houses. As they thought that hope was lost, a group of scholars bravely studied dragons and struggled to understand its habits and attributes. Lead by the 1st great oracle priest they successfully captured a live dragon and imprisoned it near the entrance of the so-called Dragon's Nest which everyone fears to enter.

Since then, they understood the dragons more and found out its weakness. Dragons love to see entertainment than setting foot outside its nest. That's the time they started sacrificing performers to entertain dragons. It became successful that no dragons where reported making havoc within the country and humans lived in harmony and peace since then. The group of Scholars called themselves Draconic Faith and was lead by a great oracle priest who started the religion Dragonism. They begun their sacred tradition of sacrificing a performer to the dragons which later on given a title as a Dragon Gypsy symbolizing peace and harmony through out the land. But gypsies doesn't last forever because they are still humans and not like dragons that has thousand lives. So every time a gypsy dies from performing, a new one is chosen by the group. This tradition was kept sacred and been ongoing up until now so please don't be frighten to the chosen gypsy, befriend her because she will be the next one to perform inside the dragon's nest okay children?"

"Aww.... But ma’am how do they pick the next chosen dragon gypsy?"

"It's okay whoever is chosen as long as they can perform well."

Rises hand, "So it means we owe them why we are still living here on earth?"

"Yes my dear that is correct! So don't tease Teto we should treat her well okay?"

Everyone responded "Yes!!!"

A girl with red hair was sitting and trying to remove the dirt that was thrown to her by a group of children. She then stood-up and tried looking at her whole dress, "This is so unreasonable but this is better than seeing her becoming the next chosen gypsy." that's what she thought.

Her dress is a color black satin with red linings, her hair style is two ponytail drill-look-a-likes per ends on her head. She was so happy to be chosen as a gypsy and she wanted to share that happiness to her beloved best friend Meiko. She tried tidying herself again for the last time before she knocks on the giant gates of a small palace.

Meiko is the daughter of a rich and known chancellor through out their land. She is brave as a knight and fears nothing even men. She has a brown short hair dressed in raffled red clothes with black linings on each side. She moves magnificently and serene that made most people envious to her, well almost everyone except Teto who admired and supported her since childhood.

"Milady, your friend Teto has arrived." A butler bowed down in front of Meiko who's trying to fix her sword in a weapon’s storage area.

"Really? Let her enter then! I have much more to talk to her today!" Seeing that her beloved best friend finally arrived, she rushes outside the palace garden to see Teto. As usual Teto always waits within the rose garden. It’s her favorite flower and location holding special memories to both of them.

“Teto! Teto! I have some good news!!” Meiko couldn’t hide her excitement that she ran fast to where Teto is “You wouldn’t believe what just happened!”

Teto with a worried face took a handkerchief on her pocket and wipes Meiko’s sweat. “Meiko you should act more lady like, you knew well how your father gets angry every time you act like a man.”
