CHAPTER 11

All Out

I took a deep breath; I’m really nervous right now.

I need to keep them entertained.

No matter what happens I need to stay focus.

I need to show them my resolve.

I need to be strong.

Because I know my brother will come and rescue me.

I have to stay alive.

In the middle of the cave where all the Dragons keep staring checking as to who will entertain them this time, a young girl in white dress approach the middle part courageously and stood still watching them back. The Dragons tried looking to who is the puny girl keeping her foothold strong. She closes her eyes, took a deep breath again and starts moving.

She sang gracefully while performing a dance. She sang all out while wishing that her brother can hear her despair. As she dance making the wind as her partner, the Dragons maintain their observation and ended up watching her every moves while listening to her wondrous voice.

Gakupo while walking at the hallway, maintains his resolve too that is to know the plans stored by Luka. He never imagined Luka would keep something important to him. He knew very well that all Luka's knowledge and intellect about dragons comes from him. "Have I been used?" Gakupo wanted to deny that posibility but it seems that's the nearest answer to his questions.

At the end of the hallway he saw Luka walking. He knows at this time Luka always stroll around the palace checking everything. As they cross path in the middle, Luka was about to leave quietly when Gakupo stop from his track and talks;

"Luka, I think you're not saying everything to me." Gakupo's voice seems serious as he never intended to back down on what he thinks.

Luka on the other hand also stop walking but didn't bother to look at Gakupo not saying anything at all.

"Please explain to me what's your plan." Gakupo continues to talk without looking back at Luka. They are both facing the opposite direction of the hallway; "Maybe with that I can at least understand why you are doing this."

"hehehehe.... No one can understand me."

"What are you saying?" Gakupo suddenly looks back at Luka. He didn't expect her to laugh.

"I said I'm not expecting anyone to know or understand me!" Luka also stared at Gakupo and this time her eyes are as cold as an ice.

"Luka! It's not too late yet! Just tell me what's your problem and maybe we can work it out together!" But before he could continue what his saying, a group of soldiers surrounded Gakupo. It was already too late before Gakupo was held down and forcefully arrested. "Why are you doing this Luka?!!"

Luka smiled while covering her mouth with her hand; "I told you before that I have great plans with this country! As the Oracle Priestess it is my duty to protect everything! Now arrest him and make sure he doesn't leave his room! I don't want to kill an intelligent scholar do I?"

"Curses you Luka! You'll pay for this!" Gakupo keeps shouting while being dragged away.

Luka laughs as she sees Gakupo's expression. After Gakupo being taken away, she looked at Meiko who's at her side; "Hmm.. It seems we have intruders?"

"I'll take care of it Great Oracle." Meiko bow down and walks away. Luka keeps smiling and laughing at the hallway while a shadow keeps staring at Luka's direction.

In an instant, Len draws his sword and pointed it at Luka's neck. He made a surprise attack from Luka's back while maintaining it's blade to Luka's neck.

"You evil being! I'll never forgive you!" Len for the first time made an angry expression to someone. "You took my sister's future! For that you'll pay for it!"

"Hehehe... Before you do that defeat her first."

A blade crossed path at Len's sword. Len was startled that he step back to get some foothold on the ground. "You?! You've been dispatched earlier so how did you get here??"

"That is just a plan." Meiko looked at Len with strong pride. She knows intruders should be punish.

"Enough with the chit chat. Finish him off Meiko." Luka gave the order.

Meiko and Len stared each other and suddenly attacks. Their swords can be heard clashing at the middle of the hallway. As Len tries to wave his sword towards Meiko, she evaded it gracefully and pushed Len's sword using hers making it fly in mid air. Now Len doesn't have any weapons to hold.

He stared Meiko with an angry expression.

"This is just my duty boy. To punish anyone who bends the rules of the kingdom." Meiko stared back at Len. She knew the boy is still young yet she still need to kill him.

Len didn't back out. He maintain his position and didn't move an inch; "I'll never die like this until I save my sister!" he shouted.

"Huh?!" Meiko got confused.

"What are you doing Meiko?!" Luka got angry that she spoke again; "Kill him already! He intends to take the new Dragon Gypsy! Don't let him get away!"

But Len still didn't move a muscle and stared at Meiko; "The likes of you people don't know how it feels to loose someone important from you!! What kind of justice do we have?!" Len bursting out angrily at Meiko and Luka; "If this is the kind of justice I need to live until I die then I rather risk my life and die protecting what I need to protect!"

Meiko was shock. "What's the meaning of this Great Oracle?"

"You're a knight Meiko! You don't need emotions to be a knight! Just kill him already!" Luka made a final order.

"You're all the same! I'll make sure to rescue my sister at the Dragon's Nest!" Len shouted!

"Meiko!!" Luka also shouted.

"Enough." Meiko spoke.

"What?!" -Luka

"I said enough!" Meiko looked at Luka with an angry face. She stared at her for the first time full of hatred; "I was once fooled but I'll never be fooled again! This is not the justice Teto wishes me to protect!"

"What nonsense are you saying Meiko? Are you defying my order?!" Luka angrily answered Meiko.

"I've been thinking if I'm doing the right choices! Deep within me I know this things are all wrong! Thanks to this lad and Teto's memories we have shared before, I understand pretty well his struggle. It's also the same as what I belive in! This time I'll choose my own path to become a Knight that Teto will be proud of!"

"How dare you Meiko! You'll never be a knight I swear!" Luka angrily replied.

"I don't need your approval to become a great knight!" Meiko attacks Luka but was protected by a karitt blade owned by Ruko.

"Ruko? What are you doing?" Meiko looked at her.

"I'm just doing my job." Ruko replied.

"Hahahaha!" Luka continues to laugh. "It's okay, I don't need you anymore Meiko. Go Ruko! Kill them both!"

Meiko steps back and pulled the sword that was stuck at the floor. She throws it to Len who's trying to stand up.

"Are you ready to fight back boy?" Meiko tried talking to Len while looking to Ruko and Luka; "This time we will be fighting along side."

Len smiled and position himself for defense; "Thank you."
