Chapter 13: Castle

"The castle?" You say incredulously.

"It might work." Laurance shrugs.

"Do you think they keep records of every single prisoner they've ever had?" You say.

"They'd be stupid not to." Laurance says. "How would they keep track of them all?"

"Will it be worth it?" You wonder, thinking of all the possible ups and downs.

"Well, if we get caught, we can always use my amazing good looks to get us out." Laurance jokes.

"Get caught doing what?" The two of you whip around to see a patrol of at least five guards.

Well, that went incredibly well. At least you and Laurance in the castle now, but not in the way you expected. Back in cell you've spent so long in, the one with the carvings to remind you of who you are. Laurance sits in the cell way across the room. They didn't want the two of you planning.

It also turns out that the girl who ratted the two of you out last time you were in this cell is still here, even though the two of you were proven to have actually been spies. She sits glaring at the wall, once and a while crying, and then screaming until the guards have to come down and tell her to shut-up.

Laurance sits in his cell, making wild hand gestures at you that you decide not to decipher. It's actually really amusing, even in this situation. What you've interpreted is he wants the two of you to punch a unicorn, do the chicken dance, and fly away into space.

Yeah, odd, but it's the only thing you can laugh at right now. Laurance now looks exasperated, and starts making huge circles with his hands. Then a guard enters the room.

"I am a unicorn." Laurance suddenly states.

Everyone in the cells turn to look at him. He gives you an intent look, like this is actually a plan.

"I am a unicorn made of chicken." He then says, and then looks the guard dead in the eye. "If you don't let me go, I'll do the chicken dance, and take my unicorn friend, fly into space, and bomb you with marshmallows."

You want to burst out laughing, as this entire time, Laurance has kept a straight face, not showing any sign of emotion.

"Look, it seems you've gone a little crazy. Maybe quiet down." Says a prisoner in a cell next to Laurance in a hushed voice. The guard still stares at Laurance, lost for words.

"Oh, yes." You say suddenly, trying to go along with the plan. "Have you ever heard of the species Fobofobozobo?"

"Uh, is that real?" The guard says. You realize he must be a new guard, and this is actually scaring him.

"Oh, yes." You say again, trying to creep him out. You nod repeatedly, keeping a smile on your face.

"Oh, yes." Laurance drags out the 'e' in yes."

"Stop it, and shut up, or I'll..." The guard says uncertainly.

"Or you'll attack us with the army of Mytoehurts." Laurance says, and the two of you start nodding at each other. The guards hurriedly runs over, opens the cells, drops the food in, and runs off.

"I knew that would work." You and Laurance burst into giggles, and when you realize you creeped the guard out enough for him to make a mistake in locking the door. His is still open.

The rest of the prisoners look at you enviously. But the girl who betrayed you once opens her mouth, and lets out a heart-dropping shriek.

"The prisoners are escaping!"

Guys, I'm so sorry for not being able to update for so long! Yesterday the app was glitching out, and before that I caught the flu, so it was hard. I have a question for you all. Did this chapter make you laugh, it sure did for me, and I was the one writing this.
