Before you ask, yes, the chapter is in Laurance's POV, for specific reasons
I panted, the battle was over, and the guards were cornered. Y/N and Aphmau stood over them, glaring at anyone who dared move. I smiled, she was dangerous, but very cute at the same time.
"So." Aphmau said, putting her sword away, and turning to look at me. "What next?"
I shrug. "Let's quickly figure out what happened to Y/N's father, and get out of here fast."
"Right." Y/N looks a little disconcerted at the fact she might be able to find out the truth very soon.
"It'll be fine." I whisper to her, and then start out of the room. Aphmau and Garroth follow me quickly, but Y/N hesitates for a moment longer. I stop.
"Y/N. Are you okay?" I say, concerned.
"I... I just don't know." She shakes her head. "I just keep..."
I frown. "What?"
"Having these weird... I don't know if you'd call them visions."
"Visions?" Aphmau asks.
"Let's go." Y/N says abruptly.
We all exchange looks before running after her.

We sneak through the castle, jumping at the slightest movement. Even though it's the middle of the night, some guards are still awake and patrolling. Y/N hasn't said a word since the incident, while the rest of us plan and discuss. She should be part of this, it's her father.
"Come on Y/N. What suggestions do you have?" I ask.
"Zane's study." She says, without a second doubt.
"Might work. He likes to keep information close." Garroth says.
"Let's do it." Aphmau agrees.
A group of guards rounds the corner suddenly, and we all dive into cover, I fling myself behind a crate, praying to Lady Irene that they won't think to look at it. I breath a silent sigh of relief as they pass. I gesture to the others, and they nod. Garroth, knowing this place the best, leads the way to Zane's study. I notice Y/N wincing every once and while, but I don't question her again.
We soon find ourselves inside his study, and start quietly going through the drawers. Y/N stands on her own, shaking her head. She's breathing heavily.
"Y/N?" I whisper.
"This isn't right." She mutters, holding her head. "No."
"What do you mean?" I desperately shake her, but she doesn't see me.
"Laurance!" She gasps, and nearly falls over. "I don't know what to do!"
"It's alright!" I whisper shout, aware that guards might find us.
"Y/N, tell us what you saw." Aphmau says firmly.
"It was my father... And darkness..." She trembles, obviously shaken up.
"Your father is dead Y/N. It's alright."
"No! It isn't" She suddenly screeches. And then she runs away. I quickly step forwards to stop her, but Aphmau holds me back.
"The guards are going to kill her!" I say, frantic.
"Right now, something serious is going on. Laurance, you have to concentrate." Garroth says.
"We don't know what happened to Y/N, but right now, we need to figure out what actually happened!"
"That doesn't affect us!" I shout.
"Yes it does, and it will affect everyone if we don't do something!"
"What do you mean?" I say.
"Something bad is happening Laurance. I can feel it." Aphmau says, and something stops me from arguing.
"You go find Y/N, and be careful. We'll stay here, find the information and hold off the guards."
I nod mutely, and run. The dark castle walls surround me, and I need to call out for Y/N, but I can't.
Something has happened to Y/N.
