Chapter25 Cutting

(Ari's POV)
I have been at South Creek for about 5 months now and I really like it. I have gotten really close to Ashlyn. And Jake asked me out! It has been much better then before, but I started cutting again. I don't know why but my depression came again and I don't want Lana to worry, I need to be their happy girl. I really miss seeing everyone on set, but they are all coming over for dinner later in the week. "Ari, can you come here for a moment" Lana said from downstairs. I walk down and see that Deena was there "W-hi" I say confused. "you must be Ari, Lana won't stop talking about you" Deena says with the same smile Lana has. "Ya that's me" I say blushing. "I wanted to get to know you better, would you want to spend the day with me shopping or going somewhere?" Deena asks. "I'd love to is that ok Lana?" I ask. "Of course!"she said with a big smile. We then head to the mall. "Do you want to go to Forever 21? Lana says that you love that store" D said smiling. "YES!! What has Lana told you about me? I ask curious. "Well, you love pizza, poking fun at her, you get sassy at times, and you are a great hugger oh and if you swear I have permission to punch you in the arm" she said with a wink. "Of course" I laughed. We then head to the food court after buying a crap ton of clothes. "How is school going?"she ask. Do I tell her the truth, no she will just tell Lana. "It's good! I have good friends and like my classes." I say while forcing a smile. I made sure to avoids the part about being bullied and stressed 24/7. She grabbed my hands from across the table and my sleeve when up far enough for her to see the cuts. for a second I thought she saw them. But I think she didn't, I hope she didn't.
(Deena's POV)
Ari told me that school is good, but I could tell she was lying. Then when her sleeve rolled up I saw her cuts. And they were fresh. I made it seem that I didn't see them but I had to tell Lana. We head to the next store and while she tries on cloths I shoot Lana a text.
D- Hey sis I need to talk to you about Ari..
L what has she done now😂😬
D- I was talking to her and saw that she had fresh cuts on her arms.
L- Oh my god are you serious
D- very. And she keeps on telling me that school is good, but I know she is lying.

We get back to Lana's house and I stay for dinner. Lana keeps on giving me looks of worry. Finally she said something. "Did you have a fun time today" she said said. "It was a blast!" Ari said with enthusiasm. "I didn't have to puncher once" I laughed. Fred unknowing what the context behind that statement gave me a funny glair. I was around 7pm so I decided to leave. In the car I texted Lana
D- what are you going to do.
L- I'm going to talk to her tomorrow.
D- good luck ❤️
(Lana's POV)
I then talk to Fred. "Hey babe..
Could you take the boys somewhere tomorrow.. I have to talk with Ari about something important and I don't want any distractions." I say trying not to sound panicked. "What's the topic?"'Fred asks curiously. "Ari..she she has been cutting. Deena saw them today" I say starting to cry. "What" he said in shock. "I failed Fred she is in pain and won't talk about it to me" I say weeping in his lap.

(Lana's POV)
Because it was Saturday and the boys were on an all day fishing trip I let Ari sleep in. When she walked downstairs she is a bit surprised at the fact that there were no loud Boys running around. "They are on an all day fishing trip, we got the house to our selfs" I exclaimed. She was really excited we hadn't had a girls day sense the 'sleepover'. After breakfast she got showered and came down in gray joggers and a purple sweatshirt. We went and watched a movie. After it was done we went upstairs to the big sofa to talk. I want her to do the talking. I don't want to force anything and have her build walls.
(Ari's POV)
This girls day isn't the same like last time. Lana seems less relaxed and giggly we head up stairs and she looked worried. We sat down and Lana asked me how I was doing. "I'm fine" I say. "Don't give me that I know something is wrong" she said compassionately. I want to teller her that things are good, like usual, but I don't. "Well not really" I say with my head in her lap. "What's going on baby" she says while stoking my hair. " there is this girl that is their and she makes comment and threatens me sometimes." As Lana hears this her eyes go wide. So I continue. She knew me from my past school and she knows I'm your kid and she tells me stuff like you guys adopted me just for the publicity and that I shouldn't even be here. She makes threats by saying if I Report her she is going to send jim after me and then take me away." By this time I am sobbing and I see that Lana has tears down her face as well. Then Lana refocus and gets her angry evil queen look on her face. "Boy is she going to get it from me" Lana mumbles. "Why haven't you said anything girly" she said. I then start to roll up my sleeve. " I need to tell you something else. Because of the comments and stuff.. I I've been cutting more" Lana then gasps. " I didn't want to tell you because I didn't wait to let you down. I wanted to be your happy girl and not worry you." I say crying and laying down again. "Oh baby don't hide anything from me, you can always come and talk to me about anything. You will never let me down. I love you so much and I'm going to fix this ok" she said tad tears rolled down her cheeks. "Fix it, fix me?" I whisper. "That's what I'm here for" she said kissing my forehead. "Thank you mommy" I whisper back into her ear. And there I feel asleep
