Happy Birthday !! (18)

Nancy's POV

"Wake up nan !" Someone yelled. But I was too occupied with my sleep, I pretend not to hear.

Someone poured a glass of water on me. I instantly sat up an screamed "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Well its 11 now! Wake up stupid sleeping beauty. It is your birthday not mine"

It was mel, from her voice I could tell.

"Whatever mel. Let me sleep" I pulled back the blanket over my head.

She took my blanket and yelled at me making me go to the bathroom for a shower.

I took a nice shower and that indeed helped me out of my sleep. But while taking shower I remembered how my and derek's conversation ended last night.

FLASHBACK

"Our kiss. You have a girlfriend who is also my childhood friend. So what does our kiss mean?" I said.

"I am so sorry nancy. I don't know what came over me. I should have not done that and said those word. I sincerely apologize. And I just talked with hannah she is coming here tomorrow and I don't want to mess up things again. So... please pretend nothing happened and lets just be friends." He said slowly with a weak smile in his face.

I was broken hearing that. I did not expect this at all but I guess this is the truth and I don't have to be sad. I can be happy. Yes I am happy.

"No, no derek. It is completely ok. I understand. Yup, pretend like nothing happened and be friends" I said giving him a smile.

"Yeah thanks" he said.

"Well then, night derek" I said and left.

PRESENT

I finished my shower and dressed into something comfy. As I heard mel telling me we are going shopping so I dressed accordingly. A pair of red shorts, and white tee, my black scarf and handbag to complete the look.

I did touch up on my face and was ready and I glanced myself once again in mirror and said 'Perfect'

When I was finally out, mel asked "What took you so lonng... Oh my gosh you look really good in that" she said as soon as she saw me.

"Thanks mel"

"Ok, so stacy is waiting for us outside and we three are going for some shopping while boys will be just hanging here or there"

"Ok, sounds perfect to me" I gave her a big smile.

"Then lets go birthday girl" she said and we went out.

I was very happy, it is my birthday and I am going to spend it with my friends and family.

"Try this one nan" stacy said.

Yeah this is perfect. I looked at the dress stacy choose for me, It was like awesome. The colour was black, mid thigh, low neck both sides and with sleeves and lacy material. It eas just perfect.

I tried it on and it perfectly hugged my curves. Both mel and stacy said that I look adorable in this.

I was so happy about it. I bought a new stunning dress, I just hope I can wear it soon.

We all were hungry and also had to go through some other shops to see dresses for stacy and mel. So we decided to have some lunch first.

"The food was awesome" stacy said.

"Well everything seems tasty if you are hungry" mel said.

"True. And here we are" I said pointing to another dress shop.
