Chapter 2 :)
Hope everyone likes it, really wish some more people will tell me what they thinks/if they think I should continue with it.
Quite a lot of information in this chapter, hope it's not too boring, its quite a filler, to get a first image what the rest of the story's going to be about. Enjoy :-)

"Woah, wait a second." Nash spoke gruffly, rubbing his closed eyes with his hands, as if trying to ward off a unbearable bright light. " Your saying you actually saw PC Officer George get stabbed to death?"
Kaylee nodded her puffy head stiffly, looking a little better now as a little colour was returning into her cheeks, as they'd been able to coax a cup of tea in her.
Over the previous hour, she'd explained how she unwillingly witnessed local community head officer's murder in the very early hours of the morning whilst out on her usual daily morning jog.
She'd also explained how terrified she'd been, so terribly frightened she'd been frozen into place, glued to the spot, unable to look anywhere but the despicable, brutal crime that was been committed.
Also; how overwhelmingly guilty she now feels, for not even trying to prevent it from continuing. Not to mention the moment where the man (pretty certain it was a man) had been about to flee the scene, when he'd caught a fleeting glimpse of her.
"How certain are you that he saw you?" Tod asked, looking more than a little bewildered, as he was still in the process of trying to get his head around the entire thing.
"Pretty certain. I didn't actually see his face, as it was really early, it was still fairly dark, but his eyes were those of a cats, practically glowing in the dark, and they were staring right at me." She shuddered remembering, a nervous shake starting to from in her hands like before.
Tod wrapped a muscular, reassuring, comforting arm around her and she gladly sunk into the promising warmth radiating from him.
"Do... do you, um, think he's going to, well, come after you?" He stuttered and tripped over the question, obviously hating having to ask a question which might make her scared all over again.
However she'd already thought about that, a lot actually, and he saw it in her eyes, misty with more unshed as she tried - in vain - to avoid his.
"Then," Tod hesitated and forced Kaylee to look him in straight the eyes.
"Then, if there's even the slightest of dangers for you, or anyone else for that matter, getting hurt, then, we've gotta tell the police, beca-" Kaylee began to argue, but Tod silenced her, talking over her protests with those of his own.
"This is serious, Kay. It's dangerous. And not just for you. There's me and Nash for starters, because we know what's happened. But there's your mum, dad, sisters, other relatives, not to mention friends, and anyone who's ever spoken to you! Hell, you might as well add complete strangers to the list, as, just in case you haven't realised, there's killer on the loose. We need to report this." And Nash finally looked up, nodding in agreement.
"I do understand, Tod. Honestly, I do. I'm not stupid, you know that. But, what do you think the police are going to say when they find out I've waited all day to come forward? To tell them, report what I saw!" Kaylee demanded, locking his gaze, keeping his eyes there, forcing him the answer.
"This isn't your fault, Kaylee." Nash answered softly, seeing the reason behind her misdirected anger. "You didn't kill him, Kay."
"I might as well have." She whispered despairingly, sucking in a deep breath, her usually beautiful bright blue eyes beginning to brim with tears, on the edge of falling.
"I just stood there, and I-I didn't even try to stop it. And now he's dead. And it's all my fault." Kaylee finally broke down, began sobbing as guilt consumed her, every other emotion no where near as strong as the guilt she felt regarding PC Officer George's death.
"No." Tod said firmly, with a look in his eyes that warned you not to argue. "This is NOT your fault okay? What happened has happened, and, as horrific as it is, there is nothing you could have done which could have possibly stopped this."
"He's right, Kaylee." Nash agreed wholeheartedly. "You just would have gotten yourself hurt, or worse. He'll get his justice eventually, because he's the one who killed him. He's the one who's responsible, and he's going to pay for this, not you."
Kaylee sighed so deeply it seemed she was trying to rid her lungs of all air, and wiped the endless waterfall of unshed tears out of her eyes, determined not to start crying again, and buried her tear-splotched face into her hands.
"Just, if that's the case, can we just wait a while, please. I just, need some time to think about this, to think about what's happened, I just, I can't process all of this right now." Kaylee spoke, her voice raw from the crying, further muffled by her hands.
"I know the feeling." Tod mumbled uneasily, uncomfortably fidgeting in the hard, chestnut brown chair.
"Then, please, Tod." She said earnestly. "Just give me time to think, and, I know how dangerous this is. And, I agree with you that we should go to the police. Tomorrow. Just let me have the night to wrap my head around it. You know, it's not everyday you see someone get killed." She said, unsuccessfully trying to lighten the dark mood, but even she didn't smile at her own 'joke'.
Tod and Nash exchanged a long, loaded look. Then finally Nash turned towards her slight shivering frame.
"Okay, one night, understand? Then, tomorrow we WILL go to the police and you will tell them what you saw, alright? And for the time being, don't tell anyone." Kaylee nodded eagerly, completely happy and fully content to comply, to keep it a secret. Quietly whispering a grateful Thank you, Kaylee began to start on some dinner for the three of them to consume.
But what Nash couldn't get his head around was the fact that she was so scared to go to the police station now, because she should have gone earlier, however more than eager to wait another 12 hours before they went.
Something wasn't right here, and Nash was more than determined to find out exactly what 'that' was, one way or another.
