I'm here! I'm in London! This is crazy! Ever since my father got deployed to serve in the army here in Europe, I had to part with my friends from America and move halfway across the world. And I have to say, I kinda like it.
"I can't believe we are here Mom," I whispered to my mother, Laura, as everyone else was trying to listen to the tour guide.
"Shhh, we are about to pass the London Eye," she replied.
I pulled out my Polaroid camera out of my duffle bag and saw that under it held my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book. I breathed heavily and thought of how I'm closer than I'll ever be to Platform 9 3/4. I'm living the dream.
After riding a double-decker bus around London, my mom and I found our ramshackle apartment complex. Ooof, this is not the pretty part of London. Still worth it.
What I remember most clearly at this moment was when I saw a little white snowy owl flying towards the window of my little room. And in its mouth held a piece of thick parchment with a big red seal on it. Somebody pinch me.
