chapter one

The water lapped at the side of the ship that was stationed by that docks at cross well. it looked ready to depart but, still it stayed stationary. there was no noise on the ship only the buzz of long lasting silence as I watched rikards hazel eyes widened like a doe in headlights and his crew stepped back from me as if I were cursed I could still hear those two words bouncing across the deck

'I'm pregnant' they cried

the crew took another step back looking amongst each other as rikard came forwards gripping my shoulders the colour slowly draining from his face as his large tanned hands started shaking me slightly but he quickly stopped as i winced with pain

"are you pulling my leg?" he asked quietly blinking few times not moving his hand from my shoulders i slowly looked up at his face he suddenly looked tierd and i swear he had a frown line I shook my head slowly as his hazel eyes looked frantic and wild with an unknown emotion that i had never seen from him

"why would I do that?" I replied in the same tone playing with my fingers as i slowly looked to the deck swallowing a lump that lodged itself in my throat

"I think we should leave them to their own devices" I heard gallent hiss causing me to internally smile he knew us so well

and in a matter of seconds the deck was empty. I blinked a few times then rikard sighed and pulled me to his chest I gasped in surprise he chuckled causing my entire body to buzz as he nuzzled his head into the crook of my neck

"well this is new" he whispered "suddenly I'm married, and the women I love announces to not just me, oh no, but my entire crew that were both expecting a child" I smiled

"I thought that would go a lot worse" I told him and felt him smirk against my neck as he slowly pulled away 

"how so?" he asked pecking the tip of my ear

"you would get angry then you would do something rash" I cringed slightly "like you always do" he smiled

"I do everything for a reason" he said into my ear "I thought you would have figure that out by now?"

"I'm not that bright" I admitted my cheeks turning red and he smiled

"none sense, you don't give your self enough credit sweet heart" he whispered "your smarter then most women I have ever met"

"are you complimenting me anders?"

"why yes Mrs anders your my wife and that allows me certain ... privileges, yes?"

he kissed my forehead tracing soft circles around my hips I smiled as he pulled away standing up a little higher I kissed his cheek than lowered myself again he sighed as I pushed myself closer to him

"well" he whispered clearing his throat he continued hesitantly "I'd better move away from you before I decide to..." he wriggled his eye brows at me

my cheeks turned crimson as he pulled away from me and after a few seconds I smiled and shook my head

"you never change" I told him looking away from him as the railing became very interesting

"don't tell me you don't like it that way?" He asked I pursed my lips

"well I don't mind it" I teased

he bowed his head smiling as he walked to the door that led down to the hull. he went to find the crew and tell them it was safe to come out and I disappeared down to his dorm and curled up under his blanket where I fell asleep.

I felt warm hands travel up my shirt rubbing my sides tickling me then messaging me I had only been asleep for what felt like a few minutes I squirmed groaning and giggling my eyes slowly fluttered open only to see rikards smiling face looking down at me I frowned and he continued to smile I rolled my eyes smiling back he leaned over planting a soft kiss on my lips before grabbing my waist and rolling us to the side so that I was pressed flat against him I winced pushing up slightly he let me go

"I want to sleep" I told him and he smiled

"no"

I rolled my eyes yawned and laid my head on his chest turning my body so I wasn't on my stomach I closed my eyes

"what are you doing?" he asked

"sleeping" I said and he chuckled

rolling me off of him he kissed my forehead as I fell asleep

"night baby" he cooed

"night" I mumbled

I stared over the edge of the ship my mind wandered a little until I felt strong arms wound around my waist

"I thought I told you to stay in bed?" rikard said into my ear I pursed my lips

"you didn't tell me to stay in bed" I told him

"oh yes I did right before you fell asleep"

"well I'm afraid to tell you I was sleeping after I said night" I turned around in his arms to look at him

"I'm glad we agree" I smirked "and since when do I listen too you"

"since we got married wifey" he smirked and I pinched him he flinched

"in your dreams Rikardo" he stiffened his grip tightened on me his eyes darkened dangerously

"don't ever call me that again" he said the playfulness gone from his voice "okay?"

"yes" I said my eyes widening as I cowered back

his grip loosened and then disappeared I heard him walk down the stairs then into the hull storming into his room i heard it slam shut well we all heard it slam as it echo along the water I sighed

'well done me' I thought 'two days into marriage and he's already mad at you see what happens when you tease people?'.
